onstage mics at either side. It's mostly board though.

1. Ryan took some time to change a bandage on his hand after
d2t03, This, along with another gap were edited out so
the second set would fit on one CD.
2. The acoustic portion of the 2nd set was also boosted by
12dB to make the cd more listenable without jumping for
the volume knob when the band comes back!

A NOTE ABOUT EBAY

Unfortunately, as Ryan's popularity has increased, so has
the commercial opportunity. There is one seller on eBay who
has pretty much made a career out of selling Ryan shows and
I would appreciate any help in stopping him. I very
seriously considered not sharing this recording because of
his activities but then decided against it.
He usually sells under the name 'musicalshapes2003' and is
really David Sadowski of Oak Park, IL. Please don't buy
from him and report any auctions by going to

And if you see him at a show, be sure to say hello, nice
and loud into his microphones ;) I've been told he's a tall
redhead who's a dead ringer for Ned Flanders.

This was his response to somebody's inquiry today:

"Under current copyright law, as interpreted by the
courts, selling live recordings is legal. You act like
you're the first person to discover live recordings
for sale. It's been happening for years and there has
been no ill effect. There are a lot of people who
don't have your connections who have no other way to
get a collection started. Mr. Adams has talked about
this in interviews and the gist of it is he doesn't
care. Plus, I'm doing this at my cost, so there are no
profits involved. I buy these recordings at the same
cost I sell them for just to help spread the music
around to people who don't have your connections and
are not part of the "in crowd."

Now I can tell you that I spoke to Mr. Adams before recording the Toronto show 2 weeks ago and the only thing he cared about was that it DOES NOT get sold on eBay or anywhere else. This joker is totally jeopardizing our position and seems quite sure that he's safe. I hope he is not.

This knucklehead is also selling a CD with Ryan's performance with Phil from the Jammy's. This guy REALLY needs to be stopped before he screws it up for the rest of us who are playing by the rules.

There are anti-bootlegging laws in the U.S. but i don't think they have been fully tested in the courts. The laws were passed under the commerce clause of the constitution, not the copyright powers. To read more about it...
