Here's a tasty treat in honor of the announcement of the Jackie Greene Band's upcoming
headlining gig at the Fillmore Auditorium (July 23, 2005!). While this recording is neither
the first time the band played at the Fillmore (opening for Susan Tedeschi 2003...I think)
nor the first time they paired up with the unbelievable Los Lobos...it IS a wonderful
document of the group firing on all cylinders & winning over the crowd. This was the
second night of the Lobos' stand that produced the wonderful Los Lobos Live CD/DVD
"Live at the Fillmore" and the crowd is understandably pumped for the festivities.
From the sounds of it, this opening set kicked things off right and resulted in the
band being called back for an encore by the appreciative, professional, & loyal
Los Lobos audience.
This earlier incarnation of the Jackie Greene Band performed these shows:
Jackie Greene - guitars, piano, harmonica, vocals
Ben Lefever - drums
Hence Phillips - bass, vocals

| wow! wow! wow! I was at this show (yep, I have my cameo in the lobos dvd) and we were "won over" that night by Mr. Jackie Greene. So much so, we were a little underwhelmed by the always fantastic Los Lobos. Not raggin' on Lobos -- I see ALL of their Fillmore shows -- but this Jackie Greene set was THAT extroadinary. |

| Los Lobos ended up releasing a DVD and CD of thier performance that night. Excellent show. |

| saw jackie green last spring in chicago and was blown away. he was opening (just jackie no band) for madeleine peyroux who is also quite amazing. in any case jackie is very talented and this sbd is super crisp. some slight level adjustments at the opening of the first song but from there out its a sweet ride. grab this show (its only 250 mb) and go see him live.. you wont regret it. oh and keep in mind.. he's 20 yrs old - rediculus. |

Sweet! Thanks for the window. I think I was looking at that other BT site and got the BT's confused. No open window at the other place. ;)
I've seen Jackie once, stood mere feet from him. Great show. Going next weekend to a free concert he will be playing at and plan on taking the kids.

| Agghh. Looks like I missed this by a couple-a-three days, and I've been looking for Jackie stuff for a while. Any chance you could reopen this? I want to give it as a gift to a friend of mine who's crazy about this guy. I'd leave it open for a good long time in turn. |

I just saw these guys last night open for Susan Tedeschi and I was very impressed. This is the only recording of a show of theirs I've been able to find. Would anyone be able to open up a window for a little while? It would be greatly appreciated.
