|Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading.
|Please edit this torrent description to include the contents of the .ffp file. Thanks.
|Thanks for this Wilco show. Does anyone have the Wilco show from3/10/06 JACKSONVILLE, FL - FLORIDA THEATRE to please post here on this site?
By asking for shows many wonderful people have responded to me and posted many rare shows for all of you out ther to get too. I keep meeting all these terrific people by asking for shows on every site. I get lots of pm's from all the great people for shows I have been at that I am looking for. I also send people shows that I have taped over the last 35 years and have people seeding shows for me on every site out there. I have been taping since 1971 and and many of you that are compaining about me have actually been downloading my tapes on all these sites from over the last 35 years. By asking it is amazing what shows up. I have 4 300 gig drives full and always reseed shows when people are looking and left hanging on. I have saved every show I have ever downloaded to help out the community with reseeds always. How many of you can say that? If you have anymore problems contact me direct. This is what the taping community is all about. There are nore good people out there helping out and sharing shows than the few of you compaining about all the free music you are getting because I am asking for it.
|what the heck was that all about? where have i been? i hav'nt even ever seen your name let alone compained about you!
Don't blast us, 'pm' the people that are complaining and keep our airspace clean.
I did like the message you were sending although your angst and leftfieldness prevented me from enjoying your post. I'm sure I didn't like being blasted for things I hadn't / haven't / or will have , anything to do with.
|Thanks for this show, a very nice recording!
|fmposters- we all appreciate the hard work with which you supply this great community. i'm serious. the issue at hand that occurred a few days ago was your relentless posting of your jacksonville request. i'm not sure if taping was allowed there, so we may never see that great show surface. however, there are certainly better places to post such requests, namely the forums. cutting and pasting the same sentence to post in every torrent discussion will not help you find a show any faster, because people are less inclined to deal with such online etiquette (or lack thereof). again, i'm not trying to beat you up about this, and neither is anyone else (except maybe for that one guy who flew off the handle in the last wilco post). my only point is that requests are generally reserved for the forums, and asking that many times for something only discredits your great contribution to etree and makes you look like a groveling noob.
|I downloaded this, converted it but my burner will
not recognize the files as waves.
Anyone have a way around this situation?
Hope the 3/17, Wilco Ryman show is up soon. Thanks
for taping this one.
|Thanks for the torrent, I'm loving how quick the shows from this tour are coming up.
However, I had problems too. I sometimes have problems with converting shn files, but rarely, if ever with flac files. I use Nero which converts flacs automatically, but this torrent shut my computer down twice. I'd be curious to know if anybody else had problems.
|after my burning failed for the second time, I took a look at the wav files. They're in 48 kHz ! I dunno if Nero can't handle this, mine certainly *tried*, before the machine broke down...
does anybody know of a better way to make an audio cd than: decoding flacs>resample with soundforge/audition etc>re-flac>re-decode>burn ?
btw, I had no problems burning the FLACs onto a data CD, of course.
|That makes sense. The only other flac I could remember having trouble with was a Black Crowes show that Spider forget to convert. He said that Nero would convert fine, but I had the same problems as I am having with this show. I never did get around to trying to convert/burn it again. Does anybody know the easiest way to get around this problem? Thanks.
|anyone have the Nashville Ryman show?
|thank you. the recording sounds GREAT!
|This sounds really good. Thank-you for posting it. Thanks to everyone that is still sharing it. I took my 13 year old son to this, and we both loved this show. It is really nice to have this to remember this experience by.
