Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

Please note that when originally recording to DAT, the sbm-1 was set to 32k. It was definately not intentional, I meant to set it at 48k. Not sure what happened. I will admit that I had a couple of beers by then, but my usual cohorts, Ms. S. Pearl and Dr. C. Diesel were not in attendance. Because of this, I hesitated to seed. However, since there has been absolutely no KD3 from this tour seeded (as far as I can tell), I felt like it needed to be heard.

That said, this is a great sounding recording. the audience is very polite with minimal chatter in some places. this band is tight and I am amazed at the wealth of talent and material that pours from Karl D. hope you enjoy this recording as much as I enjoyed this show.

Dr. Zepp-

Thank you so much for this. I really enjoyed meeting you all at table 100. I guess its sort of my fault that you had a few beers. I kept filling your glass up. ;-) Anyway, thanks a bunch, it sounds like this turned out pretty well. I look forward to listening.

DINGO DOGSLED!!!!!!!!!!
dr.zepp 2006-08-03 09:58:48
antelope19, it was good meeting you guys as well. I had a few prior to arrival, so not your fault. anyone that keeps my glass full is a friend of mine! Travis

Just hoping once burned to disc it won`t smell like cloves...
Travis, Thanks for the seed and for turning me on to Karl a few years back.
antelope19 2006-08-03 15:41:56
Wow, from the first few tunes, this sounds great. Thank you so much for sharing. I know my buddy will enjoy hearing this again as well.
dr.zepp 2006-08-03 16:56:34
thanks for the feedback antelope 19. I thought it did too and that why I decided to share it.

Cottonseed....

He He. The proprietary clove funk used to identify the recording equipment has dissipated and been replaced by the funk of Dr. C. Diesel! 8)
dr.zepp 2006-08-03 17:01:48
darn it, I have incorrectly identified the good doctor. my apologies to Dr. S. Diesel. what a bad influence. His cousin Dr. C. Diesel will get you in trouble too!
cosmicallytuned 2006-08-03 18:06:28
thanks for the tunes . get to see karl a bunch around here and its always good . he plays with kd3 @ winstons beach club ocean beach 3 more times this month every wed so get down here if your nearby . Ill have to ask a taper at one of those shows to seed because they have been smokN.
Karl D = Godly SAX sounds
peachtruck 2006-08-03 18:39:39
Thanks for this - I've been withdrawing on Karl this year. Karl's web presence has been non-existent and the GBA did not quite do it for me. From some of the statements on the Blu Sirkut website, it sounds like KDTU may be kaput too - hope KD3 comes my way soon. Thanks again!
keithus 2006-08-04 09:07:29
Thanks for this.
dr.zepp 2006-08-04 10:46:52
cosmicallytuned: I am envious that you get regular wed nite gigs. I am glad there are tapers, hopefully they can seed. Hell, get an email adress from one of them and forward it to me, I'll trade for it and seed. jparsons(at)vcu(dot)edu

peachtruck: good to hear from you. I hope KDTU is not done, and I dont think they are. My guess is that all are out clearing their heads to come back for a fresh perspective on the funk! they are one of my favorites and I have to stay positive!
easyjim 2006-08-04 16:27:52
Unfortunately, I cannot seed my Winston's recordings for now because they have all been matrix sources which I do not have permission to circulate. A track or two may go up on his myspace page soon, possibly a release down the road, or maybe I'll get permission to put them out there. It's not up to me.

So far, I have only seen one other taper with a rig at the shows from June. I missed last Wed. due to another commitment. Hopefully another taper will run another rig at one of the last 3 Winston's shows so you all can hear what's been goin' down in San Diego.
