Transfer: Tascam DA302>MAudio Dio 24/48>CDWave>SoundForge (editing)>SHN
Taped by Pierre Perault
Analog>Dat/Dat>SHN by Blane Harvey
Fixed:
Patch at 14:14 of Reba (tape was flipped right after the music stopped). Patched ~20 seconds
of crowd noise from the shoddy mp3 source that has circulated lightly for this set, just to
maintain the flow of the song.
Known Flaws:
Level adjustments and mic attenuator switch before Carolina on master analog tape. I didn't
make any changes to these adjustments on the SHN file.

Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

micah,
i have an analog copy of the show you speak of, albeit a really shitty one! just really low levels all around, and quite a lot of hiss.
but yeah, a great show, opened with a really nice "jam," an instrumental that i've never heard elsewhere. it's listed as a sound check, but if i remember correctly it moves right into melt? maybe i'm wrong, it's been some since i've listened.
yeah, first makisupa in almost three years!!! it's quite hot, and i'd love to hear a clean version. it's a really playful show. |

| Sorry for the interruption in seeding - was away from the house all day, and didn't realize there was an issue until right now. Everything should be 100% fine now . . . |

If anyone could be so kind, a couple of us have been stuck at 57.2% for a looong time for the 12/11/97 Rochester Matrix seed.
If anyone still has that, we would really appreciate if you would jump back on so we could get this sick show. Thank you!!!!

| Thanks Alumni! Is this the source seeded during Week4paug's Project '94? |

just finished listening to this one...
sound is excellent, everyone is where they should be across the board ;)
as far as the playing goes, it's incredibly inspired. the reba is broken down into this really strange space where it's really tonal and minimal, starts with a quiet that is accented by these stark snare hits, building to a decidedly non-reba type escalation. the chords are all different, and much like a altered DWD or something.
and then they bring it back to the mincing reba playing on a fucking dime. ow.
tweezer is all over the place, there's a section at about 12:30 that doesn't even sound like the PHiSH so much as a weird jazz band from the future. oh wait, that's what they always sounded like. shit.
and lastly, a bit in fluffhead that is way over the top. right during the "victim /martyr/stranded etc" bit trey lets loose this sound that is truly black magic awesome. mike starts slapping a storm to compensate. priceless.
thanks for this!!! |

Gainesville - yes, it is the source that was seeded during week4paug's project 94. I'd love to see some new recordings of this show surface . . . if anyone out there is sitting on DATs, fresh transfers would be greatly appreciated! :)
That said, my guess is that this is pretty much all that circulates for this show, outside of the official archives. Not the best recording in the db, maybe, but its still a very listenable recording(s) of a very memorable show :) |
