Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

there's an 'interesting' review of this show in the Deadhead's Taping Compedium Volume II...
referring to the Space>Eyes of the World portion of set 2, the reviewer writes, "...the lead lines are permeated with fear and pain...each intraverse jam echoes the helpless cries of a defeated junkie"
PHEW! - with a tag line like that, I just gotta hear it!
thanks for posting this - Zeb |

Re: Eyes and the "helpless cries of a defeated junkie," I dunno about that, but the tempo of this version is just ridiculously fast. Sounds like *somebody* had a snort or five backstage during drums.
Nice sound on this recording - thanks for the seed. |

| Hey thanks for this show. I don't know Tony, but Eugene is a friend of mine for many years. If you know him please tell him Charlie Connor says hi and nol I don't want to sell tee shirts for him. LOL. |

| Hey Tony. I just noticed from the txt file you're Nak700. I'm a little slow these days. Anyway, if you're still in touch with Eugene please give him my regards. I ran into him for the first time in years at the PLQ Fillmore shows in Denver. |

Last time I saw Eugene was Rochester '85. He was standing behind the merch table and riding shotgun in the truck. Happy as a clam! Glad to here he's still doing shows. Wish I'd known he was at the Fillmore. I was there to, taping ofcourse.
So those were your M88's way back when? |

Actually, during the Summer of 85, the shows I recorded were done with Eugene's M88's. I was experimenting with different Mics at the time. When he ran the merch table, I ran his gear. I migrated very quickly to Beyer's but was torn between the M88's and the M160's which Jim Vita used. I settled on the 88's and bought a pair on my way to the Fox Oct 85 shows.
He did love selling those shirts. The guy he worked for, David Troy, was a nice guy and a hell of a musician.
Anyway, thanks again for seeding this show.

I used those M88's for the whole fall 84 tour, finally sending them back to him after the March '85 run. Nice mics and did a good job FOB. I think I'll seed those next.
I'm just getting around to seeding my GD masters. I have about 120 shows taped, some of them being patch jobs, which I won't be seeding(I'll leave those to the taper). Something to do all winter! |

Thanks for sharing your masters

Hey Charlie, looks like we did alot of the same shows. I have my 7/13/85 ready to go and just noticed your's has been up for a couple weeks. I guess I'll put mine up anyway, since I went thru the transfer nightmare.
Still waiting for Eugene to pop up! |
