Hampton Coliseum
Hampton, VA
source:
(FOB) Schoeps mk4 > kc5 > cmc6 > Sonosax SX-M2 > Sony D100 (@ 48kHz)
transfer:
Sony PCM-R500 > Tascam HD-P2 > CF card > usb > pc > WaveLab 5.01b (fades, resample to 44.1 kHz) > CD Wave v1.95 > FLAC v1.1.2 (Level 8)
recorded by Dave Flaschner
transferred by Jason Sobel (jasonsobel@gmail.com)
seeded September 10, 2006
notes:
The original 48kHz files from the DAT transfer have been archived, and are available upon request.
This is a re-transfer from the master DATs. I transferred Dave's source and seeded it in late Nov. 2005, but on that transfer, I used my Sony D8 for the transfer, and there was digi-noise throughout. This is a clean transfer from a better DAT deck. Enjoy.
The master DATs were used in this transfer, thansk Dave!

Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

| hey folks, as noted in the text file, this is a re-transfer of Dave's source. the first one that I did many months ago was full of digi-noise. This time I used the R500 and got a nice clean transfer, so here you go, Dav'e great sounding FOB. I'll post a clean copy of Dave's source for 12/17/99 in the next day or two :) |

Thank you Jason for the new transfer. Your efforts are much appreciated. If I'm not mistaken, 12/5/99 was seeded from the same or similiar mic source late last year and that recording also contained some digi - noise or "ticking". I was wondering if you were aware of the noise on that recording and if you or someone was planning to do a fresh transfer of that (12/5) as well.
Again, thanks for upping 12/18 again. |

I did seed Dave's source of 12/5/99 last October. Here is the torrent:
http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=19146
no one commented then about any digi-noise or any "ticking" on the recording, and there are no comments in the db.etree entry either:
http://db.etree.org/shninfo_detail.php?shnid=31785
I haven't listened to it in a while, but as far as I recall, that was a clean transfer. Are you sure you are talking about Dave's source? |

| That link is to the same torrent I downloaded last year. I still have the original files. The recording sounds fantastic except for the forementioned issue. I don't wan't to be the squeeky wheel here...just intertested in finding out if anyone else noticed similiar "ticking". |

| hampton1997 - please get in touch with me, via email. I'll give the 12/5/99 another detailed listen, but it'd help if you have specific spots in mind. |
