#At least 3 false starts, I tracked at the first start. Probably why JBG closed.
//First night of the tour. I was running my deck, Eugene's and a handful
of patchers, so there are more than just tape flip pauses.

Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

| One of my favorite China>Riders. Garcia's playing on China Cat is very lyrical, a language in itself. The Rider smokes along nicely. Also, good versions of Black Peter and Baby Blue. |

| Forgot to add, a solid Estimated and a fast, jazzy Eyes to finish off the pre-drum segment. |

| I'll be putting up this whole tour with the exception of N2 Hartford(sick as a dog and couldn't make it back up)and the final show of the tour, Syracuse(crazy FOB scene on the floor, pretty much got stampeded and gave up). All FOB with the M88's. |

Handful of cassette deck patchers, all FOB? That is alot to put up with. Plus how did you get away with FOB with patchers in 84?
Good job!

| cliston, the fall 84 tour was an experiment with a legit FOB section. I guess it didn't work out that well, because a section was "officially" created at the 10/27/84 show, behind the board and remained that way till the end. The four GA shows on that fall east coast tour were a patchers dream. The rest of the tour was reserved and the tapers were harder to get to. |

| I was taping at Worcester near the sbd (in my rightful seat, I should add). Someone from GD road crew came around and handed out flyers to all the tapers. This was basically a note from Billy saying the band was pissed about seeing tapers hassling people out of their legit FOB seats. So we were warned. I remember there were lots of scrabbles in Hartford, and we ended up taping way back on the riser in our real seats... PS: THANKS for the new 84 sources! |

This show had one of my all time favorite China>Riders, so lyrical. Eyes was too fast but the Black Peter, not one of my favorite songs, is the best version I have heard post 1974, simply amazing and when you can talk about Phil bombs in a Black Peter you know you have something. I just checked this out a little, sounds like a lot more crowd noise than my Nak Shotgun recording but much smoother high end and more hall ambience. I am looking forward to checking this one out fully!
Oh, and "Welcome Race Fans!" |
