Sony TC-D5M > Maxell MX-90 cassettes, with no Dolby. Set up
next to the soundboard, on the left side (stage right). Mics
on stand aprx 7-1/2 feet high, pointed at the stacks.
Transfer: MAC > Sony TC-D5M (no Dolby) > Marantz CDR-500 >
EAC > Soundforge > CD-Wave > TLH v.1.0.0.72 (for SBE-OK,
FLAC compression, and checksums) > FLAC, September 2006.
Notes: Patches from Shnid-7344 were used to cover the tape
flips; at the end of El Paso (5:21 > 5:30), and in Space
(5:20 > 5:25). The break between D2 and D3 is seamless.
Soundforge was used for the patches and to make fades.

Important news from bt.etree.org!

| A great show from Jerry's welcome back east tour. When someone asks me for an 87, I usually reach for this one. This is the show with the long Wheel intro. It's also one of only two shows where the "black n blue rat" spot is replaced with Black Muddy River. Too bad they didn't place it there more often, it was a nice change of pace... PS: it's a good idea to play Bertha from this show very loud on your stereo until the house starts shaking. |

| I have not heard this show in years...I have the tape but my tape deck busted long ago. It was my third show and the first of 5 shows I saw that year as the Dead came thru Philly for both spring & fall tours plus a stadium show that summer with Dylan. 1987 is a overlooked year. Thanks for this recording. Looking foward to hearing it. |
