Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

| Doug - thanks, this was my first Neil show. Can't wait to hear and relive it! |

This show was on my birthday. I saw them the next day at the Dean Dome on Coach Dean Smith's birthday. Likely the best non-Grateful Dead show I've seen... except for maybe Neil & the Horse at Cal Expo 9/16/96
I believe the ground war in Iraq ended this day. I recall reading that Neil would "watch" the war on TV, get good and angry, and then vent it all via the Horse onstage! If you saw that tour or the DVD/VHS you know how furious those shows were. It was a verbal assault of the best kind! |

i saw that dean dome show...i saw king's X and living color the night before in raleigh, third row, which was obviously quite loud...i was in the top row of the deandome the next night for neil, and it was so incredibly loud, it generally took 1-2 minutes to recognize any melody through the distortion...too loud to rank it as best of anything, but hey, i saw neil when i was a youngster of 19...
wonder if this one'll get yanked like that 71 from yesterday...either way, thanks for another opp to get some neil... |

| This nite was the end of the ground war, and when my friend and I stopped at a convience store after the show in the early AM, the newspapers were being delivered saying it was over. It was very appropriate. Thanx alot for this post. |

| Hey, down on the floor the Dean Dome show sounded fine. I had no trouble distinguishing the songs. That place is notorious for bad sound, but at least for me that night it was better than usual |

| yeah, i dig that...it was a gift ticket, so i can't complain, but...god, it was loud, and i'm a fan of volume. i saw a lot of shows in that building before moving away--genesis, bob dylan, eric clapton, GD--and you're right, the floor wasn't half bad, but damn...it was loud that night. to be honest, i was miserable sitting alone in the top row...i would've cut an arm off for some cotton balls! |

Thanks for the upload. I saw one of the nights in Philly with Social Distortion and Sonic Youth. Still one of the best shows I've ever seen...the bands were all incredibly ferocious.
And I agree about cotton balls. I was almost 18, and my ears were never quite the same. This tour was loud.

| I've seen plenty of Neil up here, including a soundboard from one Bonnaroo past and an older show I grabbed from '77. I wonder what happened to the solo show from 2/27/71 that was up for only a few hours. Did anyone get it and can it be put up again? Peace and thanks! |

This should be banned.
Neil Young is not OK with taping or trading. The only Neil Young shows that should be allowed on this tracker are from open taping festivals like HORDE or Bonaroo. |

This is what neil says about recording shows: "Well, you know, it doesn't bother me that much if people record them in the audience and everything, you know there's all these tapes going around of my shows, they've got this publication that has a list of all my songs and everything that are unreleased, and all kinds of stuff like that, and people trade tapes back and forth, you know, it's no big deal."
He is against peolpe who sell recordings of his shows for profit!
