Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

is this the same one that was out here a few weeks/months ago? if so, this sounds like it's been sped up a bit so it's borderline "chipmunk" sounding.....
also, read the notes on the source detail page about diginoise.
the chalkdust is GREAT though!
what a fun night.... |

| Great show! I don't think the AUD is necessary though. I'll stick to my perfect sounding SBD (live phish 08). If you don't have it, buy it! |

Trey's manner of playing on 7/10/99 Water In The Sky = Trey's manner of playing on 12/15/99 Down With Disease.
Check it out.
As always, thanks august! |

Sorry about that--stupid tap function on this PC.
But about this show--I think the 2nd set comes through, almost a surprise that they could bring it again so hard after set 1.
One for the ages. |

YEah, this show is definitely one fucking smoker of a show. This 2nd set gets no love, however. I think its great. The Birds is on FIRE and i think the Tweezer>Mountains in the Mist is pure butter. Dont get why theres a "Jam" in there... but whatever; its not on the Live Phish release (which if you dont have.... what are you doing sitting there reading this when you should be out buying it!!!). A lot of people hate on this Tweezer for some reason. Ive seen it called Phish Lite before... sure, it doesnt get up to the raging hose intensity that the Chalkdust does, but it funks along very nicely. July '99 is so sick. And i dont care what people say, i think Mountains In The Mist is an amazing song, right up there with the great Trey ballads Fast Enough For You, Billy Breathes, If I Could, Horn... And the segue is so smooth, it drops right in perfectly. One of those... how do i describe it... well, its NOT one of those Grateful Dead-type "segues" where when they go from Estimated Prophet into Eyes of the World, they just all of a sudden start playing Eyes out of nowhere without... building up and sailing into it, i guess. I think thats the difference between -> and just > .
but anyway, this show is sick. Oh, and BTW, this Chalkdust Torture is what Trey plays for people who have never heard Phish before. Now if that doesnt tell you something... |

The spacey then happy boisterous Bathtub Gin should be mentioned as well.
A very fun show, though I don't think it was even the best show that week. I liked Merriweather the night before a lot better, though that may just have been the stark contrast with Virginia Beach 7/8/99, which had some stellar points but mostly blew. YMMV of course, I know a lot of folks like that show... |

I liked this show...but I remember a lot of people walking out bitching a lot and being pissed (throughout the whole tour actually)
summer '99 had some great shows, a few duds...but definitely some diamonds in the rough. Doesn't get too much credit and actually holds up pretty well in retrospect, imo of course. |

2006-11-06 19:27:45 |
nah i think July 99 is the sickest month of Phish ever, right up there with August 93, November/December 97, December 95, etc. 7/10, 7/20, 7/21, 7/26. whooo!!!
any chance tho that someone can hop on the thread directly on top of this one, 9/22/99? Somehow its not going anywhere...?? it just got seeded, so i dont get it. but anyway, i really dont understand how someone could walk out of this show, or any Phish show period. Are you that spoiled on Phish? god damn. I would really hate to be those people. What, this show isn't good enough for you?!? lol
