Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

downloading this show should be the easiest decision you ever have to make. the 2001, gin, jibboo, ghost, sand and mike's are all soaring versions.

Surprise surprise... McRoberts has no problem putting his name in the text file and fails to credit the tapers once again.
Thanks to Carrion Crow and Player To Be Named Later for taping this, and also to Augustus for uploading it.

trailmix...
i was going through 99's last night, seeing what shows havent been seeded in a while, and came across a show you seeded where you modified the txt to include Carrion and aPTBNL.i dont know if it was this show, but it was the right thing to do.
i love Carrion's '99 pulls. always was a fan of his "wrap-up" narratives!
and, of course, this show was one of the best of 1999.

It bears noting that there were maybe 5,000 people in attendance and the Gin absolutely kills. Great (different) vibe this night in The Crosses.

Hey yo,
Thanks Augustus for your props. I don't get OL much so I can't throw in corrections when they are needed on alot of my tapes I made and others post. trailmix knows when I was taping Phish and usually tries to check w/ me to see if the gear & credits are right.
This night here, I wore the hat as tm added. My friend I refer to as PTBNL ran the levels. We had quite a bit of help with blocking from many other Phish tapers this night. Unfortunately some of our group had a temporary setback driving thru Texas the day after this show. This was the second night on this tour that PTBNL and I deviated from our usual setup w/ the Schoeps VMS box. AZ the day before was the first.
When I get back OL ( hopefully in about a month ) I will need to see what of this tour is up that we taped FOB. Not sure if our Woodlands, TX has gone around yet.

please, who cares what names are in the text file. Did you tape shows to archive and share the music or to inflate your ego?
Eric transferred this show in early 2000. Back then you were lucky to get the full source info written in the DAT case, nobody kept up with who taped the show. And besides, why does it matter when you use bullshit names like Carrion Crow and PTBNL? These 99 fob tapes do sound great. Thanks for doing what you did, but I think some of this "btp crew" needs to check their ego at the door. |

for bporter,
i think some people like to know who taped the show(s) That way they will know that they were done by someone who cares or done by some spun out wookie.
Ego....sure....go walk out of the building after a killa show w/ the BEST motherf'in tape. And know that you have the best. I think anybody that has ever taped FOB knows what I mean there.
As far as taping info; I kept track of all that back when I was taping Dead shows w/ a D-5. If wookies didn't want to write that down on ther DAT cases that was thier bad.
I used "bullshit names like Carrion Crow and PTBNL," because I knew Phish looked down on FOB taping and still wanted to get some tix from PTBM.

| b.porter no need to get all touchy ppl are just stating the correct info as i would hope to see with one of you're seeds as well. dont make it into a personale attack over a lil more info for the seed. Not needed imho but again to each there own if you feel like you've been stepped on at some point then that's you're personal beef not the rest of the ppl who did seed and or share this killer fob recording as well as many of the quality fob/btp pulls that have been seeded. again thanks to trailmix and cc for there hard work an dedication and also to you b.porter for doing what you have done in the past present and future... till the wind cries mary im out l8 and happy taping! |

bporter; It's all just a respect thing, and being thankful.
According to the rules, taper's are not to be compensated for their work and the least that can be done is to recognise.
I had nothing to do with the taping of any concert, but I am an archivist and I feel this is the right way to be. Credit should be given where credit is due. It's gratitude and it's so easy. |

How is this not going ANYWHERE?? Theres mad seeders, and all my other torrents are hitting like over 100: 7/12/00 is goin at over 150kbs and 10/4/99 has hit over 300kbs!!
so... im confused. but if someone could hop on 11/26/97 (u87.flac16) that would be so sick. ive been suck at 66% on this thing for like... the last week now after someone first mentioned it in another seed thread.
but how is this one not moving at all!??!? |
