DescriptionBobby Previte & Skerik
Pearl Street downstairs
2006-11-04
Northampton, MA

Taped and transferred by Andy Murray

Onstage Schoeps mk4>KC5>CMC6>Sonosax SXM2>Apogee AD1000(Wav@44.1k)>
Optical>Nomad JB3 ORTF

The show was supposed to be the coalition of the willing but 15 minutes before the show
the power went out across the town. So to save a bad situation Bobby on drums and skerik
on sax came through with a set of music. Worth a listen. Many interesting moments occured.

As far as the tracking. It is just one track 50 minutes.
I did not even know where to begin trying to track it out.

Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

Thanks a ton! Did they reschedule the coalition for a later date, or is this considered the concert now? Because that seems rather sucky, since you missed out on who, Robert Walter on keys and Charlie Hunter on guitar?

Thanks for taping though, anything with Previte and Skerik is probably lightnin' in a bottle, so thanks!
abgar 2006-11-05 12:12:41
Sounds interesting!
abgar 2006-11-05 12:14:08
Benevento on keys, actually. Going to see these guys in Baltimore on Monday...hope the power doesn't go out! :)
jamesbondo 2006-11-05 13:26:22
No, its not Benevento on keys this time around. They had not rescheduled at the end of the show. Kind of a bummer (no refunds either).
harrytuttle 2006-11-05 14:27:32
This might be more akin to 1/2 of Ponga than 1/2 of the Coalition, esp if this is all improv. Thanks for the tasty bit o' music.
abgar 2006-11-05 14:38:39
Whoa so it is Robert Walter on keys this tour? Man I would've been surprised on Monday!
andyjah 2006-11-05 16:12:19
Yes it definitely is Robert Walters on keys for the tour. Hoping the venue plans on a refund. Pretty dissapointing management if not.
double_a 2006-11-05 16:28:28
Oh please let the power go out in Chicago so I don't have to endear Robert Walters on Keys....hmmm may have to scout out the Electrical Transformers outside Martyrs now........hahaha
rev_pyro 2006-11-05 17:08:24
thanks for this, trying to figure out the cheapest/easiest way on public down to the North Star for the show tonight
nodgulator 2006-11-06 00:20:59
Endear a set of Robert Walters on keys.
boppo 2006-11-06 09:20:25

Andy, good thing we caught the show in New Hampshire .
TTUSPENCE 2006-11-07 00:42:32
Walter has stepped it up since his move to NOLA
freelunch 2006-11-07 11:44:11
Thank you!

What an interesting set of circumstances... can't wait to hear it. To bad Charlie couldn't have busted out an acoustic..

ohyeah9949 2006-11-20 14:05:16
robert walter is better on keys what are you all thinking
GreenStink 2007-01-08 14:40:09
"This might be more akin to 1/2 of Ponga than 1/2 of the Coalition, esp if this is all improv. Thanks for the tasty bit o' music." That would be nice, but since the other half of Ponga is 2 key/synth players I highly doubt it, basically, Ponga IS WHAT "Techno-jazz-grove" should BE, I need live PONGA!!!! Have the 2 studio albums and they are amazing.......actually Ponga makes bands like Lotus, the New Deal, Brothers Past, Disco Biscuits feel like remedial exercises in syncronized repetition, wait a minute, they already were that.....oops, sorry to attack.......
My new seies at The Stone Church will be called "Mind Find" starting 3/29/07 expect 1 time improv shows w/ my friends such as Micro and Tronzo, Skerik & Mike D, Benevento, Previte, Russo, JFJO, and all the other twisted national touring jazz groove freaks I associate with......
Halowdance 2007-01-17 07:36:55
Thank you Andy, this duo is GREAT!

Keep swingin'
