I caught The Hour at Kenny's Castaways in the Village. Then I headed
over to Nightingales (2nd Ave. @ 13th Street) to catch BT. This place
was just a bar. The band set up in front of a mirror, parallel with
the bar and there was about 8 feet between the band and the bar to
dance if one chose to do so (though I don't think there was ever more
than 4 or 5 people dancing, with me being one of them of course). I
came in during their first set and taped as much as I could. The band
played at ear damaging levels. After one song I remember John saying
to Chan, "why don't we turn down some?" and they lowered the volume a
little. Then they played a 2nd set.
After the 2nd set Chris Barron began a solo set. I let my tape deck
run and split with the band. Someone's girlfriend (I'm pretty sure it
was John's) had an apartment around the corner and we walked up 4
flights of stairs or so to party there for a while. When we got back
to the bar my equipment was still there, though the tape had run out.
The band got behind Chris and started to play Cleopatra's Cat with
him. This was followed by the rest of Blues Traveler's 3rd set. At
some point I discovered that only one of my mics had been on (bummer,
remember I had set up in a hurry). I therefore decided to dub the
master down to a two channel, mono, 1st gen cassette using a splitter.
When I did this I put the fragment of Chris Barron's solo set at the
end of the 3rd BT set just for tape space reasons. Due to the tape
running out it wasn't continuous anyway.

Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

| Any chance you taped The Hour? All is appreciated.. |

| My god, Nightingales, code name ( night in Jail ), Tim Vega did that mural on the side of the building which was the cover on the first "Bluestraveler" album cover, i always liked Tim, ( rip ), "Dan Lynch's" was like 2 doors down where Jeff worked, ( Jeff, lost in Madrid ). Spin Doctors kinda skyrocked to pop fame only to quickly fizzle out, then Blues Traveler went off the hook ,& owned manhattan, doing hot shows at "Roseland" & becoming icons at wetlands & across the board in Manhattan. |

"Any chance you taped The Hour? All is appreciated."
That's actually why these tapes exist! The taper was actually there to tape The Hour, and ended up taping the Blues Traveler and Chris Barron sets as well. The Traveler stuff is converted and uploading to archive.org; I'm working on the Hour stuff, just need to clear it with Matt Turk before I torrent it... |

| Err, slight edit to the above...he didn't send me his Hour tapes from 11/07 (they didn't play that show with Blues Traveler, which is what he was sending me) but I do have his Hour recordings from a few other dates. |

| Thanks to Daniel Heinze, we have two corrections to the setlists above..."Scotch & Water Blues" is actually "The Drop" and "Mr. Satan" is "So Bad". Fixed above, but the txt file you download will be incorrect, of course. |
