Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

Can anyone fill me in on how and when Burned Faceless became Smoke and Burn? I never got the memo, and Everyday Companion's song history has nothing. It is my favorite Houser song, so I am more than a little curious. I would ask at DigiPanic, but I am reluctant to face the ridicule, and I can't remember my dang password anyway.
Thanks for seeding this; the preceding Barrymore shows (10/25-26/96) and this one upgraded my Panic fan status from casual to full-on. I was able to grab the 26th from PUBA, does anyone have the 25th? And, thanks to the long lost Goldie from Colorado and his Sweet Breath who made that show on the 26th slightly less memorable. |

| Well It was called Bunrt Faceless for years until Michael Houseer put it on his solo album as Smoke and Burn. Since the only name it has on record is Smoke and Burn, everyday Companion uses it. Fans Who knew it as Burnt Faceless will never change. Sam Holt plays it with Outformation and calls it Burnt Faceless and he was Houser's guitar tech. |

| My bad your looking for October 25/26 let me look. |

Thanks for your efforts and the info. I should have checked the Houser album. Anyway, I just need 10/25/96, I already have the 26th. But, others may want to them both at the same time, so if you do have them both, don't let me discourage you from uploading the matched pair. In fact, maybe your source may be an upgrade. Here's what I have for the 26th:
Widespread Panic
10/26/96
Barrymore Theatre, Madison, WI
Source: Microtech Geffell 210s (Jason Wilhelm's rig)
Seed: Dennis Dahl
Conversion : mastered and converted on 10/26/01 by Ted Rockwell -
Tascam DA-20 > Roland UA-30 > Peak TDK > Shorten for Mac
Notes:
The very begining of LGDTB is cut and the levels are low, increasing slightly during the first 1:30 - 2:00. There are strange high pitched clicks occuring through out both DAT sources... I have not attempted to clean those up... I love this entire show but especially love the Happy through Flewzy, Hatfield > Pusherman, and CHILLY WATER!
Houser's on Fire and the band is playing to a VERY appreciative audience. Enjoy!
So, whatever you do, thanks again, keep it up! |

This show, has always been at the top of my list of favorites.
Panic was on quite a run in 96. Can't you feel the energy in this recording, and the playing is spectacular. Sick
And to think, they'd let it all hang out the night before at the Halloween show, only to show up one night later and just blow the roof off another dump. |
