Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

DOWNLOAD THIS SOURCE. The other source has been subjected to D>A and A>D reconversions.

ok . Will 10-28-91 dsbd also be availible?
come on it's christmas!

the other source i am also torrenting is an audible upgrade and has no digital audio extraction and utilizes the headroom of a 16 bit recording completely. i am torrenting this fileset for comparison purposes and for completists or those who prefer an unmastered direct spidf 16 bit source. i generated a 16 bit spidf derived wav transfer from the dat and it sounded the same as this source with the eac gen. the 24 bit derived source really captures the spatial separation better than the 16bit source but then you'd have to have burned and listened to the recording in the first place to know that.

This sure was a great show that night... 24 hours after Bill Graham left us for the great Gig in the Sky.

...the recording has always sounded a little flat to me, not nearly catching the intense energy that was swirling around inside the Coliseum that night... this is certainly a show that would benefit from a 60/40 matrix if there is an FOB source to use.

Neo, your logic is simply wrong. You need to do a little reading and research concerning audio 101. You cannot improve a 16 bit sound source by converting it to analog. It's not some magic or easy button that returns the audio to the way it was before the digital copy was made. You are taking a 16 bit source and subjecting it to D>A and then A>D which REDUCES the overall quality of the source recording. You cannot magically make a 16 bit recording better by taking the analog out. You are taking an analog signal that is being soley derived from a superior digital source. It is exactly, but less, what the original 16 bit source was. It doesn't get better simply since you took an anolog feed or converted that derived analog feed to 24bit.

You really need to do your homework before claiming falsely and adamantly that this remastered source is superior. That's subjective. What isn't subjective are the facts you seem to be ignoring.
