Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

being a lifelong Rochester resident, I'll gladly join this Rochester love-fest :-)
if you folks don't yet have the excellent Alan Zimmerman recording from the War Memorial 11-5-77 that was posted here recently, drop what you're doing and start downloading that gem! If you're a fan of the Dick's Picks 34 soundboard version, wait until you hear this! It's a perfect live recording - the band sounds great, and you can tell this enthusiastic crowd is having big fun (although there are 3 'take a step back' moments) I got this recording on cassette in 1981 (along with the previous night from Colgate U) and never thought I'd hear it in all its glory in digital form!
092681 (great Buffalo show ;-): I know the 11-7-85 show is available as an excellent Beyer M88's FOB by Charlie Connor (the next night probably is too, but I don't have it) - I highly recommend that source, even over the Oade recording, it feels more like that night to me - maybe because Charlie was set up to the left of the soundboard that night, and I spent most of the night listening from that general area...
albertpujols: I don't think I have the JGB from the Auditorium Theater 5-26-83, guess I'll hafta track it down!
I hope everyone has gotten their copy of the 6-30-82 Jerry and John show, also from the Auditorium...it was posted on www.shnflac.net (Lossless Legs) a few months ago, lovingly transferred by David Minches from my 2nd gen cassette - here's the info file:

| Hey Zeb - thanks for the great comments about my Rochester 77 recording. I'm so glad I found David to help me get that out since I remembered that none of the other tapers we knew at the time got the whole bass solo. Watch for more good auds from me and David in the future from the late 70's and early 80's as I hope to get into some of my friends' collections. |

you're mighty welcome, Alan - that recording is the best!
Sure wish I knew how to get in touch with Mitchell Starr, the guy who I got the 2nd set from, while attending Alfred State College back in fall 1981...I also got the Colgate show 2nd set from him then...who knows what others he had from you?
looking forward to hearing more of your gems - thanks!
