Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

well i'm screwed. i've already gotten so many hours of live phish, i might as well grab this one anyway. since phish and all those other 'taper friendly' bands are about to turn a 180 and begin to crack down and pursue personal legal action against all these nasty 'bootlegers', i guess i'm already guilty and will surely be sued for everything i've got anyway.
thanks for the show (and the laugh). |

| So, it's illegal to trade the tapes that bands such as Phish and the Grateful Dead sold specific tickets for people to go to the concerts and sit in special cordoned off area and and tape the show, with the idea that the people who taped the show were going to make copies and give them to other people for free, and both of these bands have set up fairly explicit policies as to trading electronically, such as on site like this. But we're all breaking the law. I want to thank you kind citizen for opening my eyes to these crimes that I have been commiting for.... oh wait, show just finished downloading and I want to listen to now, I finish this later. |

Yeah, we get it. And thanks for the history lesson, I didn't realize that music wasn't invented until the mid-18th century.

| Your right because you obviously have no idea how it works. The bands don't make the laws, but the make the rules as to how that legally taped material can be used and spread. It's their lawyers job to make sure that these rules are upheld, and the people who pork for both that make sure that no one breaks these rules, I lived in Burlington and was friends with Kevin Monty one of Kevin Shapiro's assistance at Doiysian, and one of this he did was check on site such as this one to make sure that those policies were follow to the letter. Now, if they weren't usually a simple email about the offending item would solve the problem, but if that wasn't enough, it was the lawyers turn to take of business. Now these lawyers are paid a great deal of money by the record companies that they represent and are the best at what the do. If you don't comply with what the say you must do, you will take all appropriate action to assure their bosses, the record company, that you do, and will spare no expense at doing such. Now, smaller bands that don't even have record companies or anything other then themselves, their gear and their fans, that's what ASCAP and BMI are around for, to help the little guy who can't help himself. So with all of this in place, if this site and the others that make it point not to go against what band policies state, do really think it would still be up and running for this long, all you have to do to find it is do a search for free Phish/Grateful Dead/(insert band name here) and it's usually one of the top 5. The answer is no, still_illegal's claims are baseless, useless and pointless, my guess is he was banned for something wrong and is now spiteful towards the community. |

| Damn, he was deleated before I could get this post in, well thank you for getting rid of him, I did in a narcisistic sort of way want to find out what lame ass comment he was going to have to my post but oh well, this is not the place for such this, and all is right with world again. |

when did hippies from burlington get so agro??? lol. Let ignorance drop itself into the abyss, you needn't get angry over someone who doesn't understand the "way it goes". No need to name drop...that is the muse of a 16 year old. As the years have taught us, the music never stops...and those who don't know...
are gonna find out, before too long. All anyone had to say in response to such idiocy is enclosed in these brackets [ ].
get it. Let the music tumble out and the idiots bask in the reflection of themselves...
to all else not engaged in the petty, so long...and thanks for the Phish. |

| I was one of the few fortunate enough to get to see this show. I was visiting some relatives on the other side of the country and came to Prague to see Phish. Wound up getting front row! Let me tell you, the engery levels were off the charts that night! Definitely a night i'll never forget. Heck it helps that I later found a video copy of show on the late Sharingthegroove.org . Thanks for the re seed :) |
