Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

Looks like another top notch show. Thanks for making the McCue recordings available.
Is it just me or does the supposed SBD on the archive sound like a nice FOB audience? There seems to be an unusual amount of crowd noise and recording venue ambience: http://www.archive.org/details/gd84-12-31.sbd.gorinsky.6395.sbeok.shnf

| Thanks Albix! That's a cool photo of all the tapes. I advise you archive those TDK's first, because they tend to deteriorate faster (in my experience). Sea2speak: shnid-6395 is a tape of the FM broadcast. They had the audience ambience mics turned way up. Sort of unusual for an FM. Sounds just like my old cassette from WCUW... |

| This is huge...way to go Alex and Mark! The FM board and the CM board are flat and unapologetic. Aside from those who might be nostalgic from listening to the show in a cramped Attic in Providence, Ri this aud is going to be the cream of the crop. The performance aint to shaby either....great Shake and a up-tempo version of peggster...nice midset straw and the Scar>Fire dominates the second set....would have loved to have seen a Men Smart in replace of A+A.....but whatever....I have no idea how jerry made it through this phase of his existence. He never looked worse....cant wait to hear it.....JF |

Thanks. This is a show that was screaming for an upgrade. All of the "SBDs" of this that I've heard have been the radio mix, which is really a matrix. The mix for the radio broadcast really sucked ass, too, with too much audience, WAY too much compression, and even some audience sounds from some other sources pasted between songs (the actual broadcast also has Father Guido Sarducci talking over a couple of the songs).
A big THANK YOU for this one. It is a hot, hot, hot show. |
