mhoram Quote Charlie, stop being a little bitch and shut the hell up if you dont like it. I don't care how much you post, I cant stand listening to little bitches whine about a post."

Dude I hope your kidding... That was a legit question we asked ourselves for a couple of weeks we actually had the glassbergs ready to go 3 weeks ago and held them back... Re transferred and mastered them because of that question... I hope we answered it well with our choice... No Worries charlie!

A :-)

I seriously hope the post directed to Charlie was in jest. Without his generousity, we would be without many, many hours of primal Dead.

We love you Charlie! Can't wait for the next deluge on JP.

I am unsure if the above posts were directed at me, but I am NOT Charlie. That being said - I appreciate and accept the explanations provided. As for those who think "Charlie" was complaining, know this - Charlie Miller is quite possibly the single most prolific provider of quality seeds to this trading community. If you don't know who he is - get to know who he is. He posts under the name "charlie miller", identifies his seeds as such, and is deserving of every iota of respect and gratitude each of us can afford. Sorry Charlie for the ID mixup (no pun intended). FWIW - Charlie taught this Dolby hater that NR is not always a bad thing (just most of the time, IMO).

Wow, I burned this to CD and I am cranking it up right now. THIS SOUNDS FANTASTIC!! This recording is hands down as good as an audience recording can be, it is absolutely killer. You are right down in the belly of the beast when this thing is playing...Kudos to all involved in getting this out to the masses. Unbelievable sound...Man it is that good...
garageboy 2007-02-10 23:39:03
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I am pushing this show through about 700 Watts of amplification into two 10 foot high stacks of speakers with an additional 300 watt sub... Gettin' it ON!

Thanks to Barry for the tapes and the stealth in your face recordings! Thanks Adam and the whole MOTB crew for the high quality tunes. Thanks to Dolby Laboratories for the controversial noise redux!

Umm, I'm a little confused here. All I asked was "Before I grab this, does anyone know if the cass master was dolby decoded?" That's all I asked. I actually prefer these MSG 81 tapes without the dolby. If you noticed some of my recent seeds were circulated without dolby cuz i oiked the sound better.

As for mhoram's personal attack, that was uncalled for. I think i deserve more respect than that. I didn't complain, I just asked so I knew what I was getting.

aegert 2007-02-13 11:48:34
Amen Charlie... Can't imagine where that comes from!

We really agonized over the Dolby issue in private.... We have held off publicly posting what we came up with as not to ruffle feathers. If anybody wants a synopsis of our findings PM me at forums.motb.org and I will try to get a paper together defining what we are doing now with Dolby encoded cassettes.

Note the word cassette. For the reels we get with calibration we will be using Dolby 360 series decoders to do the actual Dolby decode..

Love

A

I was living in NY (Long Island) when these shows were announced. My mom was about as cool as they came. She lent me money to buy tix for these 2 MSG shows, wrote me a note saying that I was gonna be late for school and dropped me off at the LIRR so i could go to MSG and pick up tix. I actually got the last ticket that the box office had for 3/9/81. The blue window pane made this show all that much more fun....

aegert 2007-02-13 14:20:13

I think my question was what prompted the attack on you, Charlie. Sorry about that. It's OK with me, though. I deserve no respect.
charlie miller 2007-02-14 16:34:54
Well, it's a good thing that mhoram realized his mistake and was man enough to publicly admit it and apologize :)
asteroid4442 2007-04-29 23:14:02
If anyone could open this one up again I'd be most grateful and would do likewise after I'm complete...stalled at 15%.

Thanks very kindly.
