Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the original SHN/FLAC filesets. The seeding will proceed chronologically starting with the earliest known circulating fileset.
Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.
Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.
And thanks to the other 3 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike & Tom....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.
All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw
These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess
Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)
I've started a thread over here for us to be able to discuss this project:
http://week4paug.net/index.php/topic=1573.0
I can be reached here: rshannon AT unb DOT ca
enjoy the grooves,
Louie, Mike, Tom & dug

HUGE thanks to Franklin for passing along the discs (and my apologies for this having taken so long to seed!) But it was worth the wait folks....a smokin' show that sounds very, very sweet...
Just stepping out of Project order to seed this one....back to the '96s tomorrow....

| Hey, this is Tim from Granville. Cash (and Jamie) were a huge help to us. I had no idea about Cash...what happened? |

I think Cash is fine. He's just not involved in the music scene anymore and keeps a very low pro these days. Read the posts above . . . and go see Bill Frissell at the Winchester in Cleveland on 2/27!!!!!! (www.thewinchester.net)

duggy/shackaholic:
let me first say THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU for all of your seeds.
second, is there any order for seeding these "Shack project" shows? (you haven't necessarilly seeded chronologically, right?)
I've been trying to wait patiently for the SBD of 8/22/98 Chicago to come around... best Bubblehouse ever(?)
is it, by any chance, on the horizon?
Thanks again. |
