Transfer: CDR > EAC > WavMerge > Soundforge > CD-Wave >
TLH > FLAC, February 2007 by Andrew F.
Notes:
ShnID-4473 supplies d1t01 and d1t02. Before Simple Twist,
the taper can be heard saying he was busted and had to
move to re-start taping. Compared to ShnID-4473, this
source sounds further back, but does have nice clarity.
ShnID-4473 also supplies a tape-flip patch; from 16:43 of
Russian Lullaby (crowd noise at end) thru 0:14 of TLEO.
There's some minor tape-speed problems in the following
spots: in Midnight Moonlight, 2:56 > 2:59, 4:40 > 4:42,
4:58 > 5:00; and Rhapsody in Red at 7:27.
The files were combined with WavMerge and re-tracked with
CD-Wave. Soundforge was used to make fades, patch the
tape-flip, correct the pitch, and adjust the levels. Also,
the levels of the ShnID-4473 tracks were raised to match.

Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

"Unknown aud means(just to be sure) that Jim Wise did not tape this , as I read , correct???"
Yes, correct. Jim lent me a spindle of discs. The only info was that they were MAC > CD transfers. This date was before he starting taping shows himself...

| I attended this show. It ended at 5 am. Openers were Hunter (with "Comfort") and the New Riders. Jerry didn't take the stage until almost 2 am. |

Thanks for the comment; I forgot to add that info to the text file. For trivia buffs, 5AM may be the latest that JGB played a gig. Although the show started on 3-12, all of JGB's set was actually played on 3-13. Jerry also gives a nice introduction to I'll Be With Thee, which I guess was pretty rare for him too... |

| I was at this show as well. It was a night I'll never forget. I was attending Stony Brook at the time, and my good friend turned 20 on 3/13, so we were fired up (and so was Jerry), to say the least. Jerry played like he was possessed. I am excited to check out this new source. Thanks to all |

| This was the second concert I ever attended. I was 15 and a beginning deadhead. I went without a ticket figuring to scalp with 3 friends who had tickets. I found a scalper and bought my ticket for $10. When I got to the door with my friends they got in, but I was stopped by security, as a matter of fact there were a few of us who got stopped. The tickets were fakes. Foolishly we tried to rush the gate but were stopped. Then I found someone else who was burned by the scalper and we went back to where we bought the ticket to get our money back. He was already being taken away in an ambulance. Now my new friend and I still were on the outside, so we begin to look for an alternate way in. We went around to the back of the arena, but we couldn't get in the back entrance because we didn't have any passes. We begged them to let us in, but we were out of luck. Somewhere along the way we found some bottles of booze, (I have no idea what it was). As we were leaving th back of the Commack arena, we ran in to some people climbing a snow bank to the roof, and on the roof was a railing, and at the end of the railing 3/4 quarters of the way up was a hatch, AND IT WAS OPEN. A line of people climbed up the snow bank, along the railing, through the hatch and into the catwalk that was along the ceiling of the arena. There was a ladder down to the seats just to the right of the stage, almost behind it, we went down, as we were going down security noticed us and began coming up the aisle. I sat down and was right next to my 3 friends who I tried to get in with. This was one of the most exciting nights of my youg life, and whenver I see my friends we talk about it still! |
