Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

| So many thanks to all the John Hartford posts. They are fantastic! The copy of his last show from TX was very sad in that he sounded like he was in good spirits, but his body was clearly giving out. Thanks again! |

Category stomp it is, I didn't even notice the mis-naming on the .txt file or I would have changed it.
I'm glad your all enjoying the music. I have a disc here, that is 3 shows in one collection, all 3 are from:
Old Pool Farm, Philadelphia Folk Festival - Schwenksville, PA
the set is:
hartford1969-08-22-23 - 1976-08-27.shnf
I have lots of debate on this one.
If i seed it as it is, it's 3 dates, hard to list w/ db info.
BUT if i break it up into 3 sets, renaming has to be done, md5's changed, and only 5 or 7 tracks per show.
I'll probably leave it as 3 shows, any ideas? |

| Those dates are from a tree that originated in the Yahoo GoodleDays forum. There are also two sets from 1970 (also the Philly Folk Fest, I believe) that were in that tree. Either way would be cool, as these sets should be heard by more people. It's more work for you to do them separately, but makes for a more accurate db. I don't know - seeder's choice? Thanks for sharing. And Category Stomp is on pretty much every set... |

thanks for the reminder,
I don't think I have the 'master' .txt file anymore
I'll have to do some digging, I'll seed this as a full set later next week. thanks pomkog |

The Goodledays forum, yea i remember that place, there used to be a ton of John archiving going on over there.
I see that you've got a big old bowl of John going around here at the bt.etree.org, don't forget there is more John and Jamie on the SPPS server with more shows to come.

Metzker please remember that when i originally released the PFF stuff that you are about to rerelease here I took some major grief because of it. The archivist where the said shows came from was not very happy that they had somehow had trickled down to our level.
Just an FYI in case you get an angry email from an archivist.
