Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

Who is FAT APPLE and why did they play a pub in my home town?
I may have to hop on and see what I missed. Anyway I grew up just outside of Williamsport. Parents still live there. FYI the venue is simply the Bullfrog Brewery. I don't know what that whole "5th" bit in the info file refers to but there is no "5th" in the name of the place. I do know that the place brews some pretty tasty beers. I try to get in there whenever I'm home visiting. If you're ever on US15 or US220 going through Williamsport, or if you're just visiting Williamsport itself, the Bullfrog is a great place to kick back a brew or two. |

>> "Who is FAT APPLE and why did they play a pub in my home town?"
Fat Apple is now defunct but they were one of the most under-rated KICKASS "1st generation jambands"! I put 'em up there w/ Quiver....which is saying alot, considering the immense talent those guys possessed!
Anyway, not sure what your taste is slucas_2 & I don't believe I have this particular recording but I personally am very excited to see this & will eagerly grab all the FA I can get my grubby little paws on! Definitely worth checking out....& I know Lance's recordings have always been hq, so that's never an issue.
Eric Foelske....are you out there man? I know you've got the motherlode of killer FA shows to spread! :-)
Thanks for the ul Lance....will hop on a little later, when I'm not firewalled.
PS: They were playing this pub because they hadn't yet got their righteous due to earn them the theater gigs, which they so much deserved!

| Foelske has the motherlode of Fat Apple of shows for sure. A band that quit playing while in their prime. I would love to see some of their shows from Sunshine Daydream pop up. They always killed at each festival they were booked to play. |

Thanks for posting this. I'm pretty good friends with these guys. I just talked to Chris today and told him that some Fat Apple popped up on etree. I'll post the correct setlist when my download finishes- it's dragging for some reason. I was the unofficial archivist for the band, but mainly what I have is a stack of cd's that are all chopped up because the band recorded directly from their soundboard to a standalone (no dat machine). I do recall the name Eric Foelske- I got some shows from him in the past.
If you want to see current endeavors, www.chrisbob.net. Dave plays the drums and Chris plays guitar and sings, so it's 2 out of 5 members of Fat Apple. Also, I started a myspace out of sheer boredom one night- www.myspace.com/fatapplebaltimore

| Wow!!! Fat Apple!! This band rules, too bad they don't play anymore! I first saw Fat Apple in the parking lot after a Phish show at Deer Creek, '99 I believe. They were setting up as i walked by their bus after the show so i stuck around to check them out only to be blown away! I bought their CD and it has been a regular listen for years, so nice to see a live show pop up here!! Thanks so much!! |

Correct setlist is below:
1) Oxygen Mask
2) Brothers & Sisters
3) Jack Splat
4) Nightmare
5) What's the News?
6) The Painter-> 800 South Broadway
7) Freak Waitress
8) Checkin' Out
Taking a trip down memory lane, you may have seen Fat Apple at the following Phish shows during the summer of '99: Baltimore, Oswego, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Deer Creek. If you signed the mailing list, you probably met me. Like Barry says on this show before Checkin' Out, they were very concerned about their mailing list.
I bug them about reunion shows all the time. But I think it's now the days of "real" jobs, wives, babies, and weekend gigs. I'll post some more Fat Apple soon. Thanks for the interest, and thanks again for posting this show. |
