Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

Nice find Jake! I have bad news for ya. I'm having trouble finding the Kiel show. Sorry. I did find a 1st gen of 8/28/82 that I am going to give a listen to. Someday my friend Mike with all his 82 masters will resurface.

Taping Compendium review of the show....."even the normally soothing TLEO draws blood!"
terrapincane 2007-02-27 14:20:49
it's all about Peter in this one :)
csmiller 2007-02-27 16:12:48
Any comment on the sound on this? I know the show is good, but the number of cassette gens suggests there may be some major hiss.
Albix 2007-02-27 16:38:13
No major hiss except at the quiet parts of Drums/Space.

First off I want to thank Suraci, Ford, Faintych CDavis and all others deadicated to uncovering aud sources from the long lost summer tour of '82....with the recent Mance Iowa recording and now the Seligman Zoo Fob we are on our way..but we need help. Where is a stealth aud from Kiel (the board is jittery and amped) and how about the Alpine shows....talk about a couple of shows that deserve the aud perspective....alright im off the soapbox

This show has very special meaning for me. It was taped by a dear friend David Seligman who now resides in the port town of Stuart, Fl and recently had John Kruk surgury removing his left nut. The guy is in pain but he does have the internet and can reep the benefits of this typical Albix touch up. The show speaks for itself..it is often overshadowed by the starlight show from two night later and rightfully so but this show puts the band in a different light. Jerry looked like hell warmed over but he managed to cool down in the sooner heat long enough for a competant China>Rider and a sleak pre-drumz performance....

A really big thanks to alex ford who labored through muddy analogs and hours of needlsome translation to put together this much needed source (will someone please get rid of that Beyer 160 on the database)
One last shout out to Uncle Barry Bryson whos the best damn uncle in the whole world.....much love from the desert, Jake.
