Notes:
% a few bursts of d/n. There were a couple splotches in Split and Scent that were patched from the bootleg source on gdlive.com using Samplitude. This section of crowd is not on the bootleg and could not be patched.

There were several level changes throughout the first set. I used WaveLab4 to even out the overall level of the set as best I could. There's still some variation, but it's a lot more smooth and consistent. The worst level changes (5 or so) occur in Runaway Jim... probably why it was omitted from the bootleg source.

yeah im curious as to why "This should be considered one of the greatest moments of phish " ?

average show IMO.
97phunkaddict 2007-03-09 15:49:07
Very true Jason, but the jazzfest show kinda falls right in the same description... VERY average after 1995, but still very fun! This show came with no expectations.

for one thing they are singing "tongue the bottom, tongue the top" in theme in some verses if you listen carefully. it's the little things people.

Thank You! Always great to replace a scratchy AUD copy with a crisp SBD. 96 is not one of my fav Phish years, especially following Fall 95, but this is good stuff. Love the AC-DC bag, YEM, Bowie!!!
nedstruzz 2007-03-10 15:38:47
I've never seen an audience of this ever. Do you know the source?
caravan2001 2007-03-16 00:27:57
I had carreystock on analog, I'll dig around for it here....my wife was there, she said it was fun...
rustoleum 2007-03-16 08:02:41
I would LOVE to do a carreystock analog -> digital transfer. I have an Apogee MiniMe that would make a great 24/48 transfer. My addy is in the torrent above... shoot an email if I can be of assistance.

I have a good source that is split into three discs, that has all the tracks (run away, vocal jam) I probably got it 3-6 yrs ago, but I can't figure out the source. I've looked at all the sources in db and can't seem to match it. It sounds like a SBD though. It's possible it came from like furthur.net I guess.? It actually sounds really good. Any thoughts???

the best was trey using his beer bottle as a slide.
