Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

Noice! I'm about 20 min from the stone church. Great little venue. Saw Charlie Hunter there in '05. I think he'll be back in april. Thanks for the post.-t

mike dillon is a personal god of mine
cheshire_flyer 2007-03-10 07:03:22
Looks interesting.... Thanks a lot! Out of curiosity, who was the opening band that makes up the filler on this one?
walstib 2007-03-10 07:43:46
part of club D'elf I believe.

sorry this is going soooo slow folks. but once its finished going out from here it should go fast.

I'm curious to get some feedback on the recording itself. New recorder...this was actually mastered in SACD resolution. Unfortunately, there is no way to burn those files to anything playable. The result is SACD>CD (or dsd > pcm redbook standard for you who really want the nuts and bolts).

cleantone 2007-03-10 12:20:27
Dave Tronzo and Mike Rivard opened.
wakerbaker 2007-03-10 15:31:34
any sort of setlist out there? I love benevento but I don't know the others. Any info?
cleantone 2007-03-10 16:41:10
Reed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reed_Mathis
Mike: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Dillon_%28musician%29

I can only name Pink Floyds "fearless" as of now. They played "songs" but there was plenty of improv to go around too. Definitly get s a bit dark and heavy (for these guys) but not over the top. It's all instrumental and these players are heavy duty. Though they have all played together in one way or another, this is the first time they played as a trio like this. I reccomend checking it out for your own opinions...

Thanks

mike and reed take music to new places . its always new art and something exciting .
jelliotboston 2007-03-12 12:55:13
excellent, thanks for this!

always cracks me up to see setlist requests for one-off jazz improv shows.
nodgulator 2007-03-12 22:53:51
I probably would have seen a bunch of shows at the church if I lived 20 minutes away. Its the nicest venue in NH.
jbelinky 2007-03-13 01:39:36
did anyone tape the Bustle set from chicago. It was unbelievable and would love to listen to it again.
jelliotboston 2007-03-16 12:44:09
i said: "always cracks me up to see setlist requests for one-off jazz improv shows."

now i say: sorry, i saw the lineup and assumed that this was going to be an almost entirely improv set. now i see that they're actually playing songs, and a setlist request isn't all that crazy after all. apologies.

that being said, this is really some beautiful stuff, thanks again.
