Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see

This was a very interesting show in a nice venue. Let me start by saying that having listened to this recording one time through, this is a very nice capture of the sound from the Lakewood Theater that night. There's nothing in the quality of this recording that should stop someone from downloading this show. Nice taping job.
There were some big hilights from the show, including an epic George. This show is worth downloading just for the George. The 1st set Pink Floyd cover was nice, but really just an oddity (I can't remember moe. ever playing Floyd before, but not certain of that at all).
Set 2 is much better than set one. I also remember saying before the show, that in a dozen or so moe. shows I've attended over the last 10 years, I'd never heard the song "Four" played live, and sure enough, out it came. I also commented to a friend that I think moe. has played Rebubula at every Dallas show they have ever played. It would be interesting to see if that is correct.
Regarding that Rebubula, the jam near the end got so thick and dis-harmonic (is that a word?). Al was on his knees playing his guitar Hendix-ax-like. Rob was pounding on his bass with his fist, both drummers were standing and pounding away. I think the band literally backed themselves into a corner from which they could not get out of musically. So they simply segued into the next song, only to finish the Rebubula in the encore. Nice touch! |
