*These tapes were given to me in October 1982, while living in Boulder,
Co. I was told they were a first gen copy off the masters.
I have a feeling these mics are Nak 700's and the deck is probably a D5.
I do not remember the tapers name.
Since there are no other audience sources available, I decided to seed this version.
Special thanks to Jake Feinberg. Jake is solely responsible for getting me
to seed this show.

Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's a good possibility. I knew who Matt was but did not have access to him. The friend who gave me this 1st gen did.
Like I've said before, I hate seeding stuff that is not mine, never mind stuff I have no solid source info for. Jake and I felt this one needed to be transfered and seeded. The taper may see this and say WTF? Oh well, at least it's out there for now :> and maybe he will seed the master.
The only thing I know about this source for sure is that it is FOB. Pretty much every spot under the shed at Alpine is FOB, since the board is in the back of the pavilion. |

| NICE! Listening to this recording right now. This was my second show....I have had a 2nd gen audience tape since 1982. Taper was a guy from Chicago named Spike, I got the tape from his buddy Dizzy. Equipment was Sennheiser 441's > D5. Would like to see that master show up someday as well. Thanks for this one, I had quite an experience at this show. A tall tale indeed. |

| This was my first bootleg show - a Nth generation SBD. I was so happy to get the Dick's Picks. But it has NO Phil! I cranked my bass way up and still got almost no Phil. Who does the killer matrices around here? This incredible show is in dire need of a SBD/AUD version, probably 50/50. I'm gonna give it a shot, but I've never put together a matrix, so it probably won't be good enough to present to anybody else, much less seed. Who out there will give this show what it needs - PHIL!! |
