Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

sea2speak 2007-03-23 10:06:34
The #2 show of the year according to DeadBase. (#1 is Veneta, OR)

Additional Deadbase trivia:

The final "Caution" and "Who Do You Love"

Thanks jbyrd!
terrapincane 2007-03-23 10:08:45
the Dark Star is legendary, and Caution is incredibly intense.....a must-have, five-star show :)
terrapincane 2007-03-23 10:09:23
oh yeah, Good Lovin' is VERY nice too....
throwawayplanets 2007-03-23 11:07:41
most amazing show ever. this is what made my life worth living.

the playing in the band - classic, beyond description
the dark star - colossal, over an hour of the greatest dark star in the history of the dead

great sounding show also

you don't know what 1972 europe dead is if you don't hear this show
HardyWeinberg 2007-03-23 11:43:23
Thanks again, Jbyrd!
Lewis/Klitschko 2007-03-23 12:06:20
This and the 4/8 one are the two best "Cautions" of Europe.

5/11's is a little sleeker, slicker, and smoother, 4/8's is a little more volcanic, but they are almost on the same level of quality.
jakumo 2007-03-23 12:19:28
this has to be the show i would most liked to have been at , blew my speaks out with the guitar solo in two souls, this is a real winner
team.week4paug.net 2007-03-23 12:35:48
Many thanks, again!

This is the one I've been waiting for! As said before this is the Mother of all Dark Stars. Also, I personally like the SBD mix problems at the start of Playin'. I love how it starts out with just Keith's piano and then as the first verse goes along each band member gets dialed in. Then, as if on cue, as Bobby starts to sing "I can't stop for nothin', I'm just playin' in the band" the whole mix comes in and thunders into this amazing show. I never get tired of it.
DetroitFunk 2007-03-23 15:49:53
this sounds insane. as a young dead head who was 10 when jerry died, I'd like to thank everyone who preserved and made these wonderful shows available.
throwawayplanets 2007-03-23 16:32:04
if you can believe this, i first downloaded and heard this from gdlive.com - a lesser quality mp3 version, but the show is so amazing, and the sound quality is so perfect, that i still listen to the mp3 version and its beyond description.

this is my favorite of all the europe shows, the sound quality is so deep, rich and solid, and it has that old tape-reel-waver to it that makes it sound antique and so great.
pbuzby 2007-03-23 17:12:57
Just so no newbies are disappointed - the Dark Star is "only" about 46 minutes long.
polity 2007-03-23 17:13:25

sweetmags 2007-03-23 17:21:31
thanks so much for this incredibly important series

forever obliged
iarooster 2007-03-23 17:21:48
Haven't been saying thanks on every torrent of this series since some feel thank-you posts are meaningless fluff, but wanted to say... thanks for posting this series of shows! My favorite run, bar none.
jonmiller 2007-03-23 19:03:45
Time for some "truth in tracking" standards. They play Dark Star for 13:35, Drums for 4:03 then go back into Dark Star for 29:34. The longest uninterrupted Dark Star is 12-06-73, at 43:27, or 18 seconds longer than the total darkstarring this night.

Good show, btw
