Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

for those of you from week4paug, then definitely you'll know i feel this Gumbo to be an amazing example of Phish building to that all out super intense happy release that they call the "sustained crescendo" i guess? Not sure. But man, does Page's organ at the outro finale just fucking rage, or what dude? Mann!! Dude and Trey's melody line that he's found, it just combines with Page's organ and Fish's airy, rythmic fills and Gordon keepin the low end tight to create this magnificient... i dont even know how to explain it.. conquering? grand feeling of invincibility; theres this sense of being the ultimate. its got its game face on. i wish i could synergize these words into the feeling that I'm feeling... gahh. Gumbo72203 bitches haha Coors Light says hi

sorry man I just had to. ;) haha *passes left*
McGruppster 2007-03-29 00:58:08
no but actually I finally sat down and gave the entire 2nd set a thorough, focused listen, and I think its really good. the Split is just crazy the whole way; Trey's really fuckin on man. Walls, although still feeling somewhat awkward, was great. Totally different kind of Phish, but i think it rules.

This is so a show where you dont care that you got Friday and Bouncin (even though I love all Phish songs). I mean look at everything else! The ju-ju is kept flowing immediately following the massive Gumbo, which i think is an objective example of Phish greatness; them DOING what they do best in creating some new, coherent, intentful piece of music; they MEAN it. And they're working together at equally important and involved levels; nobody is dominating or slacking; it all fits perfectly. Dude just listen to Page and Trey hook up at 9:23, and then continue onward... i mean damn dude!! I really think the 11/22/97 Halley's is a great example of this as well: Phish orchestrating wholly coherent, different overal pieces of music from jamming to where they did.

man i am so rambling but this fucking Gumbo is so dank im at 10:14 in right now... like, i dont even know anymore. it says something, i guess. its coherent and intentful; like its meant to be. Man i dont know, words just can't explain the feeling and picture of this jam. Gah.

but yeah this whole show is definitely tight all the way through, especially for a PH show.
McGruppster 2007-03-29 00:59:34
NO WAY ITS ALL ABOUT 13:48 the shit ur in the middle of right there. WOW FUCK!!!! This is... i can't believe it.
McGruppster 2007-03-29 01:01:29
and then the licks at 14:24!!! ahhhhh!!!!! PAAGE!!!! 14:48 yeahhh!!!! oh mann!! Trey back with licks by 15:01 oh my lord 15:11 Trey fill!!! ahhh back in at 15:20 oh man this theme dude.... oh my god. like... Trey dude. like, man i dont even know. Everything is just perfect. Fish's fills are like... so key. this shit makes me cry every time i hear it.
McGruppster 2007-03-29 01:10:26
i may have meant 10/8/99, I can't remember... they're both great; I'm listening to 11/22 now to figure it out, even though I'm pretty sure it is. It might not be, though, cuz 10/8 is pretty fuckin dank.

dude they shoudl so outlaw beers in this forum
McGruppster 2007-03-29 01:23:19
no its definitely 11/22 cuz the audience claps as if they're finished around ~17 minutes, a lil after. and then they keep going and make something NEW from that!!!! THATS where its fucking at man, oh man... 19:08 in.... TREYYY!!! his noises!! gahhhhH!H!!!! This jam is something else man, this is the same feeling as that Gumbo jam... just so meaningful and intenful and meant to be there... its just perfect. THIS is Phish at their best. this is the objective example i was talking about: after they finish one piece, they keep going. anytime that happens, where they have more than one distinct theme and piece of music jammed out. WOWOWW page with this synth!! at 21 seconds!! Oh wow. and its on its way done now... but yeah. this is it. and they make an ending out of it!!!!!!!!!! 21:54!!!!!! thaaats what im talking about. making an ending out of the peice they just played; giving the entire thing some sort of structure. HOW they jam. God damn this fucking Halley's Comet. wow. every fucking time man. i swear. every freakin time. oh god and Trey with the loops and whammy pedal octave melody playing. This is just too perfect. Everything they've done; they just wrote something. That was art. and Fish's rim clicks and Trey's feedback send us home to Tweezer.

NO!! Dude do you guys hear the dude laugh when Trey starts Tweezer?? hahahahaha that was awesome
phan_003 2007-03-29 08:32:20

"At no point in your incoherent rambling did you offer anything remotely resembling a point. Everyone here is now dumber for having heard what you had to say. I award you no points, and may G-d have mercy on your soul."
thechadbaker 2007-03-29 13:35:04
Wow, thats all I have to say is wow. I haven't even listened to the show yet, but based the maddness that has taken place before I write this. All I can say is wow.
