Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

| Thanks Charlie for these great upgrades. These were my first two shows. I was fifteen. General admission. I believe I went the 15&16th. I know the Nassau PD did a huge bust inside the coliseum. I think it was these shows. I remember seeing lots of flashlights and they would haul people out for passing a joint. At the second show Phil made an announcement. "Don't smoke a joint with anyone you haven't slept with". The numbers were huge. I recall 250 arrests per show? The Dead were pissed and never played nassau again for years. ( I think the Weir story was in Cali-San Diego? in the 1980"S)Bill Graham came onstage before one show. Some wiseass in the crowd was giving Bill the finger. Bill said "Fuck me? No. Fuck you asshole. You think I can't jump down and kick your ass right now?" He starts for the edge of the stage and crew come out and drag him backstage. Wow. And the show hasn't started yet? Cool. Also I think these were the shows where the Band wore the day-glow glitter skeleto tuxedos. Pigpen had just passed. Wow, lots of memories. I hope they do a few shows this summer. I'll be 50 in November. |

My second Dead show...dont remember the busts, but I remember sitting slightly behind stage with few people in my section. During Morning Dew, Jerry came back & faced us & played some killer leads. We rose & cheered him on!!
Thanks for this...hope its an upgrade! |

Oh yeah, I remember the busts.
We were sitting up in the third level and I saw one kid jump straight out of his seat and fly like 10 rows down just to get away from the narcs.
A couple of months later we went from Jersey to RFK for the shows with the Dead and the Allmans, and at those shows it was the street thugs who went through the parking lot beating up hippies and ripping us off. It was a tough year for young kids going on tour.
I left for Colorado in 1974, much mellower :-)
