- Nice recording of a solid show. Thanks to Pat Lee for taping & sharing and to David Minches for his time and endless generosity!
- The only edit undertaken was to move about 22 seconds of pre-set II tuning from the end of d1t06 to the start of d2t01 (and to correct the resulting sector boundary errors).

Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see

JP - update - I spoke to tw, I will not try to explain the issue , since most of it was over my head. He did say we would be up, when he can find the time needed. This is a good excuse to go play outside.....I hope you have a nice holiday.

This is one of my favorite shows... the Melody is just beyond... might be my all-time fave... Great, high energy, rockin from top to bottom... Don't even hesitate if you don't have this show - I think it's right up there with 8/13 in the "best of 84" strata.

| Not to argue with Mr. Minches who did a spectacular transfer, but my notes show I was in the front row balcony using a D5M with Nak CM-700's. I was in a patch bay probably owned by Bob Lofgren. I show a cut between Simple Twist of Fate & Run For the Roses. If it's patched, then it's from my master, if it is clean, then the lineage for those two songs is MAC>C>CDR from either Bob Logren's D5 master or Mark Severson's D5 master at the same location. Sorry for the confusion. My JGB 12/8/84 JGB master from the Paramount does use the ECM 270's purchased from Bob Menke. Uncut from 3rd row. |

| We did record the JGB shows from the front row center balcony in October 1978, January and December 1984 at the Paramount Theatre. The 1984 shows used modified Nak 700 Cardioid mic's, Sony TC-D5M and Maxell MX 90 cassettes. The mic's were mounted in a small piece of foam and parially hidden by a coat or shirt.There is a tape flip cut in Simple Twist of Fate...............sorry folks................... |
