Post-seed notes:
- This really nice material was first seeded via Bit Torrent to easytree
on 10/21/2004. The original info file had incorrect mic, deck and
playback information ("Nak CM100 shotgun mics into a Sony TCD5M [lead deck]
with Dolby B noise reduction on [Maxell MX 90 Metal tape]; master transferred
to digital via Nakamichi Cassette Deck 1 with azimuth alignment"). The
easytree description then corrected the mic and deck information to what is
abovce, but retained incorrect reference to a cassette transfer. As of now,
then, this information is not 100% certain.
- Furthermore, the original flac files, though not the info file, were
incorrectly identified as from 08-25, the next night. The ffps at db.etree.org
reflect renaming of the files to the correct date.

Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

This was an awesome show. I remember it well. The squaw valley music festival. Two days of great music put on by Bill Graham. To from the parking lot to the show you had to take a ski lift. Bill let anyone who walked to the top get in for free. Does anyone have a sbd of the Gisman/Garcia show from the day before?

The Garcia/Grisman show was actually the following day 8/25/91 my 21st birthday. We walked up the back side with our dogs, swam in shirley lake, then tripped on in to the sounds of Jack-A-Roe. I had my one and only clash with Bill Graham that day, because of the dogs. He promised to kick me out of any event he ever saw me at. I saw him shortly after outside the Warfield at a Blues Traveler show, he gave me the death stare as he walked by with Melissa Gold. They died shortly thereafter. I grew up skiing Squaw Valley, it was like having Jerry and all my friends party in my back yard. I ended the day standing on top of Pallisades watching the sun go down in the west while a full moon rose over Lake Tahoe, and Towere of Power rocked the valley. A very special day. I would love to get a copy of anything recorded on 8/25/91. Thank you Bill Graham for making this and so many other moments possible.

ajw 2007-06-03 07:59:52

don't know if this is a 'killer' show, it's a good one
and it's always nice to have boards of the jgb

garcia hated Squaw Valley, swore he'd never play there again due to the wind reeking havoc on the sound

nice matrix

Thanks Syfdallas! I have been searching for this show for a long time now. Last time I saw it upped here I got almost 80% of the show before all of the seeders were gone. Odd how I wound up here today and noticed your offering, like I was meant to find it. Special show for me in that it brings back memories of a unique time in my life, filled with so many wonderful people. I have a birthday coming up in a few days. I wasn't expecting to get anything from anyone this year, but this night's "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love" is the best surprise anyone could have given me. This particular version plays like medicine for me.....
Thanks Syfdallas for offering up my birthday miracle, I truly needed it this year. Thank You!
litmus 2007-09-27 01:16:07
thank you so much for this. i agree with the other posters here... it was a great weekend on the mountain. i'll never forget when my friend, dick, (feeling mighty fine, i might add) called out to jerry after a particularly forceful gust of wind screamed across the mics (i think it was on the garcia/grisman day): "who can the weather command, jerry?!!" it was, as many moments back then were, priceless.

Thanks for the jgb Matrix
Mergz 2007-11-03 04:10:24
I noticed some requests for Garcia - Grisman 8/25/91. I've got a nice SBD of their set, with Bela Fleck at the end. I'll see if I can upload it. I'd have to pull the audio from an mpeg movie.

Just made my month. Thank you very muck for the up. Did anyone see the coyote at the end of the show at the top of the bowl??
photoleon 2008-08-06 19:14:57
please help me turn my frown upside down... please seed. pretty please w/sugar on top.
photoleon 2008-08-07 21:20:39
That big crackle between How Sweet It Is & Stop That Train, was a major gust of wind blowing the lights into the top portion of Jerry's amp stack. His feet were not nailed to the floor on this day or he may have bought the farm that day. Never forget these shows, thank you very much for the up.
