Thanks Chris for your hard work on this one. I've had this tape since May 82 when I met Matt Field through a mutual friend. We toured the 82 spring together and then traded tapes following. To save 45 minutes of tape Matt made me this minus 3 1st set tunes to fit on 2 90's. - bummer- This recording has without a doubt a FOB in your face feel. Of note, he did a quick flip after Morning Dew anticipatating a Bobby rocker after, the post drums is calssic and gotta love the trickle into Bertha out of Dark Star. A great canidate for a Matrix.
Matt's recordings of the east coast 82 tour are great and Chris has a few of those as well, my favorites being Norfolk and Rochester.

| I used to have a killer AUD of this show taped by Steve Apria. I wish it would circulate....far better than any other tape from that era. |

Hi Charlie,
We recorded all 5 nights with (3) Nak. 700 cardioid mic's, Sony TC- D5M, Maxell MX 90 cassettes from the " free throw line" 35 feet from stage center floor. The recordings all came out great. I sent you some filler stuff for the 6-19-80 Alaska show last year. Perhaps I need to digitalize the Oakland December 1981 run for you to do your magic with ! |
