Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

I remember being at this show...big disappointment from the lot scene right to the encore.

If it wasn't for Tom Marshall, the whole show would have been a bummer. I'm not one to rip on these guys, but it really was a mediocre setlist. The only highlight for me was the FEFU > Julius (two of my favorites).

I remember the Dirt, Divided Sky, 7 Below time of set 1 and thinking how similar it was to 7/31/03 Camden (my previous show) and wishing for some different tunes.

The final sting was the Friday encore...come on now!

Excellent Twist.

Thanks!

yeah i remember the lot being a lil small as well but it could have been the high winds and the freezing cold. the best buy i made in the lot was the 5 dollar knit gloves. disapointed with the wilson opener, they open out near philly with that to much.
the rest of the show wasnt bad, this was the 20th aniversery run, and from what i can remember some point around tom marshall coming out they say something to the effect of "you can guarente that phish will play when we are in our 60's", i think.
velvetc 2007-06-06 19:43:40
Huh, I absolutely loved this show. The Wilson opener, while common in Philly, was full of energy and well played. Cars Trucks Buses was a pleasant surprise. This show got me to love Dirt. The Twist was huge and perfectly segued into a nice Simple. The Tom appearance was a plus. And, unlike others, I love Friday so the encore made me smile.

To each his/her own.

I've been wanting to see the setlist video from this mini-tour ever since I heard about it. I believe part is from my first show 11/16/96 Omaha, I heard part has Mike dancing on stage with a giant sash. It exists. shakedownfeet@hotmail.com
fluffhead817 2007-06-06 22:31:15
is the setlist video your talkin about the intermission video that was played during the boston show? and if it is then yes it exists i grabbed it back in 03 or 04 from either dime or traders den. its 15-20mins long and is someone holding a video camera torwards the video screen. lots of old footage. quality from what i remember is ok, nothing special.

To each his own ... here here. But I must say this (1st post above) is one of the funniest reviews of a show I have seen.

1. “The lot scene” is not part of the show. There is no clearer way to say that you were there for the party than to review "the lot scene"
2. lol … if it was not for Tom Marshall … lol … the whole show .. .lol … would have been a bummer … lol
3. Again, to each his own, but the FEFU>Julius WAS the mediocre part of the setlist.

Sorry, I know this was a bit overboard, but I couldn't believe what I was reading. Carryon.
gordonbleu 2007-06-07 00:00:27
hey velvetc, I'm also a fan of Friday. One of the few. solid show!
stavro9 2007-06-07 00:08:41
From the way you all are acting
it sounds like this show is boring.
is it or is it not?
AMHits 2007-06-07 06:04:52
This was a ridiculous show, the second set contained tuly mind melding ass shaking glorius playing by a band riding a professional peak. If anyone out there does not know this show, and has their computer instead DL'ing UM or is entertaining thoughts that a "post-hiatus" is not full on, get this show and listen again. It was hot enough to make you forget it was cold or Philly as the ship launched! And as for the cold shivers, what better to roll through the seven below? Come on. Thank you for this BT, every source is a new adventure to digest!

To each his own is right dude...all I'm saying, is that this show, in comparison to the countless other shows I had seen throughout the years, was mediocre at best. Don't go assuming someone who judges the "lot scene" was just there to party. I'd been seeing these guys play for almost 10 years and I've met some great people along the way who just like to relax, have fun, and chill (no drugs implied at all). The "vibe" in Philly that night was weak...that's all I'm saying.
velvetc 2007-06-07 09:20:44
To answer a previous question, no, the show is not boring. But check it out for yourself. We all know one person's awful show is the next person's favorite.
CrazyED 2007-06-07 13:05:27
Awesome to see tags going on to your flac seeds now! Thanks jason!
thestanz 2007-06-07 20:56:53
....and who was it who kept this show from being a bummer? Tom Marshall? My apologizes, it appears that after "seeing these guys play for almost 10 years" you were obviously there for the music, for this show and all the other shows where the "lot scene" was not so disappointing.
ford prefect 2007-06-07 22:08:30
"Awesome to see tags going on to your flac seeds now! Thanks jason!"

Quoted for truth!!!

I remember driving back from hartford to go to this show.

my friend drove my car the enitre ride while I slept.
he dropped himself at his place and started to drive home(pretty close). he decided he wasnt going to the show becasue we were late.

when i started to drive home, i noticed my gas light was on. I didnt get much further until my car completely died becasue of no gas. I called him, he got in his car and got me some gas, which wasnt fast, i drove home, got on the internet and looked up the setlist.

4 or so songs into the show already. I hopped back in my car and drove to the spectrum. 15 mins it took me( i live 20 min outside the city), got a parking spot right in front of the spectrum and was in the venue by fefy.

it was pretty crazy all that happend in that amount of time.
gonephishin213 2009-02-19 10:38:01
Who cares about the lot?

I've only been to 17 shows but this was one is at the bottom of the list. It was better than the previous night but still mediocre at best EXCEPT for the Twist > Simple (or Twimple) -- easily the highlight of the show.
