Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

Harry and I were typing about shows and I mentioned this is a long time favorite of mine and he'd never heard it, so here it is. This is a new xfer of Jason Booth's source since I've never seen this circulating, which is painful because it is so damn good. Brad on keys for Julia's Kitchen. The Air Is the Body / Alsoa opener is 18 minutes of beautiful music that I just love, and they keep rolling right through the show. Great stuff. Thanks and praise as always go out to Jason Booth for all the old school Slip.
phishphreak77 2007-06-06 22:10:18
hell yea! i got a copy of this disc for bringing canned goods to the 'lazy day homecoming' the day after thanksgiving in like 2002 or something. i fucking love "oooOOOooo" and i am downloading this ASAP! thanks!

I just noticed I was looking in the wrong place for "show owners" in the db, and there are a good number of people who have this. Whoops. I'm never in favor of multiple sources if they can be avoided, but I guess I just made an exception to that rule. I still have never seen this circulate so I'll rationalize it that way, and at least phishphreak77 and Harry will be psyched. Heh.
harrymcquillen 2007-06-06 22:43:28
I am psyched. Let the music flow! When storage is cheaper and bandwith is wider we can all get the best sources of everything we want. Until then we can make do with insanely great digital sources. When I got into the trading game I was dubbing cassettes from my walkman to a tape deck, not much later I was trading DATs and trying to find clean copies of some shows without diginoise at certain points or even worse finding diginoise on masters... We've come a long way.

In any case the world needs more old Slip as far as I'm concerned. I am passionate about modern Slip as well but as far as brain-melting psychedelia and twisty jazz the old gems can't be beat.

"In any case the world needs more old Slip as far as I'm concerned"

well put Harry, I second that! I grab each and every Slip show that I don't already have. There can never be enough, new or old.

Thanks for the post!

Along these same lines, does anyone have the sicko 9.6.98 HSMF set lossless? If not I will seed my xfer from DAT of this source. Whitney Padget recorded it and Jason and I were both patched out of him. The only thing I did was boost the levels using cool edit b/c it was recorded low. If somebody's got it speak now or I'll let it rip tomorrow:

Love these guys thanks for the seed always great to get DSBD Slip ..been looking for something like this since I don't have any yet ! Always turning people on to them whenever I can.
direwolf2424 2007-06-07 04:14:14
Much thx, one of my favorites as well. And please serve that HSMF show (best Honey Melon). These are two classic Slip sets. I have never had eiher digital, made tapes from Jason back in '98 when he was nice enough to lend me his deck and a stack of Slip DATS. Much, much thanks to Jason Booth for his increadible effort back then, without J everyone would be missing out on so many incredble Slip shows.
cleantone 2007-06-07 09:23:25
eee,

That was the set that segued from Schleigho to The Slip during The Chicken. Do you have both sets?
eee 2007-06-07 09:38:25
Yeah, I have all that. I don't have the Schliego portion xfer'd I don't think, but what I have xfer'd and ready to go is the Chicken on. If I remember right we didn't run a matrix of Schilego. I think we did a straight board of that set and blended the 414's in at the start of the Chicken. Memory is a little hazy but I think we were coming from mainstage so didn't have all our shit set up for the start of their set so just did the SBD. I assume you're interested in the Schilego too.....?
knownrider 2007-06-07 11:00:10
This is a great recording.

It was the first or second thing I'd ever heard of the Slip, and still one of my favs.
jalew 2007-06-07 14:15:27
Thank you. Looking forward to the hsmf 98 set!
cleantone 2007-06-07 18:10:09
EEE,

I may have it in the depths. I am not 100%. If I have it I would bet it is a CDR from way back when that may or may not be clean. If you had the time to XFER and seed lossless that would make my day (that day). No worries and no rush. Any other Schleigho gems/origional recordings?

eee 2007-06-08 08:22:50
cleantone, I checked and I haven't xfer'd the Schleigho set. I'll find it and add it to the to-xfer list. The only other Schleigho show I have is from the Knitting Factory 9/6/00.
mesocrafty 2007-06-08 12:42:53
someone should start releasing the creekside sets, miss that place greatly! thanks guys!!!
harrymcquillen 2007-06-09 17:04:24
Do you have 6/1/02? I can re-seed that one. I also have 6/23/00 but only as a CD rip (cdparanoia/Max though), I can check it for flaws but maybe someone else has a lossless fileset of that one...
harrymcquillen 2007-06-09 17:05:42
Whoops, I'm with ya Edmund, I wish etree would let you edit your posts. I meant 6/3/2000 Creekside, not 6/23.
mesocrafty 2007-06-10 20:13:18
looking for creekside 2002 and 2003, have the others...thanks!!!
