Regardless of where this was recorded, this primal 1966 Dead you want to have. Pig will convince you not to let your daughter date that older guy. You can truly begin to feel the power this band was capable of as they leave the Acid Test era and begin the evolution towards the monster band they became by 1969.
Tracks 1-8 are reportedly from 2/25/66 Ivar Theater, Los Angeles.

| Several comments at http://www.archive.org/details/gd66-02-25.sbd.unknown.1593.sbefail.shnf suggest that tracks 1-8 are from later in 1966 than 2/25. Nevertheless, it's a fun listen :-) |

Definitely the Ivar Theater, LA on 2-25-66. I downloaded this show from somewhere (probably gdlive.com) and this is the information that came with it.

These tracks are from 4-22-66 Long Shoreman's Hall
check out this tracklist for a collection of Acid Test Unlabeled Reels that circulated last year. I've been listening to every single 1966 recording for the last month, and have finally nailed down the dates, and corrected some false information that was in the text. Deadbase also helped figure out specific dates for cryptic labeling on the tape boxes. * also, i added a couple of tracks from the taper's section on Dead.net from this time period.......

Re: 3/12/66 These recordings circulate as 2-25-66, but some songs from this show were posted on the tapers section of Dead.net that had some tracks with the 3/12/66 date that were on the circulating 2-25-66 recording, and some that didn't circulate. I 've been listening to this recording for some time and knew the versions when I head it....so here's the correct date by the taper's vault.
