Just an FYI: Recently a number of these 1982 Cipollina/Gravenites Euro tour shows have been popping up. If you are a big Cip fan like me, you have been wallowing in the wealth. Almost all of these shows are high quality. IMO John and Nick work very well together and have a good chemistry throughout the tour. This show in particular - at over a GB - is heavier than most you will find -- but what a treat! You get great versions of the tour staples 6 weeks in Reno, Buried Alive in the Blues, Run Out of West, Blues in Bottle, etc., but this night Greg Elmore is on fire! And his QMS drumming style brings back the old days we all loved! Almost like a bonus, the show ends with about a 30 minute QMS mini-show that rocks the house. Greg starts with a couple of minutes of a drum solo that breaks into very long versions of Who do you love and Mona with John having some fun. I think you will too.
Cipollina/Gravenites/QMS fans: You need to get this while there are a lot of seeders! |
