Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

| I don't think I've heard this show since I attended it. It was a pretty nice venue, I remember being surprised by the Loving Cup opener. It was only first played the weekend before (2/5), so it was still brand new in the rotation...thanks for the seed |

| jason, i taped this show with terry and according to my notes the taping was ck63's>teac. the teac had the best factory pre's of any portable. not a big deal, just a clarification. thanks for all of your work, steve. |

Steve - thanks for the info. it's interesting though, because these DATs were clearly labeled with much more info than Dave usually has on his DATs. but you were there, and know best, so I'll update the info file, both here and at db.etree.
also, Dave gave me DATs for 2/7 and 2/9, both with the same source. Did you tape with Terry on those nights as well? Symetrix pre-amp or no? thanks for the extra info. |

| jason- we taped 02/09. tom mcminn may have done 02/07. tom did 02/11 - 02/13. i called terry to verify all of this. haven't heard back yet. will update soon. thanks again. |

| Terry definately used a pre-amp! wether it was just phantom or not. The Teac dap-20 did not have a pre-amp! so mikes could not go in directly. All my tapes came from Tom directly! Terry was using the symmetrix forever. So I think your wrong.I talked to Tom last week,I;ll try to give him a call over weekend and figure this out. Tell Terry I said hello. |
| srsantay |
2007-08-03 13:23:33 |
| phantom power and mic pre-amp are two separate issues. there are several "black boxes" that combine the two. i own 460/61's and ran them neumann bs48i>sbm-1 or d8 for years. the bs48i is an excellent power source, but it is not a pre-amp. the d8, along with the da-p20, d10-pro, tascam da-p1 ,among others all have their own built-in mic pre's. i now run 460>beyer m100>d8. not exactly state of the art, but if i feel like recording, i will. |

I saw 2/7 mentioned in previous comments. Is there any chance that could be posted? Upon recent listen, I found mine to be flawed (skips and digi issues). It was my second show, and I'd love to get a hold of it.
Thanks in advance. |
| madtaper |
2007-08-03 18:38:46 |
| I realize the difference between phantom power and a pre-amp,the dap-20 had neither.I owned one for years! If it was just a b-18,It would still be,460"s>b-18>dap-20. not 460's>dap-20. something powered the mikes! QAnd when I was copying them at Tom's house years ago, that is what he had listed on the tapes! I haven't talked to Terry in a couple years, but until I hear from him otherwise,I'll stick with the symetrix. |
