patch notes:
there were a several very drop-outs/digi-errors during "Bathtub Gin"
these were present on the DAT and were fixed by patching in the following source:
AKG C 568 EB's -> Aerco Pre-Amp -> Sony D-8
http://db.etree.org/shninfo_detail.php?shnid=29566

the patch source was used at the following locations in Bathtub Gin:
[01:36.2] to [01:41.0]
[04:18.3] to [04:21.5]
[05:10.5] to [05:14.0]
[05:50.5] to [05:54.2]
at each point, I cross-faded the patched source to make the transition smooth.

Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

Thanks for the seed...

And just for clarification: This was not the debut of Samson Variation. While it was played at Brad's house in June 1997, the first public performance was actually 6/21/1997 in Germany at the Hurricane Festival...I was there and was just blown away by yet another new tune popping up in the setlist...I just wanted to mention that since I've seen this show often referred to as the gig where this tune debuted....

Thanks for the hint towards the very often overlooked Festival Sets, duggy. This info file probably means that it's the debut of the INSTRUMENTAL version here (dunno... don't have 06-21-1997 at hand right now...)

Yeah, the 6/21 version is instrumental as well...same version of the tune...that was a hilariously big festival with Phish playing in a small tent to the side of the mainstage. Ramstein was finishing their set during the Phish set so you could hear bits of Ramstein in between tunes...then the Ramstein crowd came over to hear the rest of Phish's set since they were the last act of the night...fun times...

This setlist looks ... lame?
funk_lin 2007-08-03 10:56:42
I think nite 2 is better than nite 1 overall. The Julius > Lifeboy is tremendous energy and the Taste is one of the best.
sntstphn 2007-08-03 12:05:59
I was at both shows at the Gorge that year. My first 2 Phish shows ever. I was blown away at the energy and the fun. My future wife and I had a terrific time. I can't believe it was 10 years ago. Man. I'm getting OLD! LOL! :o)
billy pilgrim 2007-08-03 12:26:39
This is a great show... and the sound is superb.

My cuzzo freaked during Fluff thanks to a few too many cappers >)

INCREDIBLE Slave!

'twas a very good show, but after the completely crazy throw-down the night before, this was a bit of a let down. But really, just about anything would have been.
wojo 2007-08-03 16:55:57
Can anyone re-seed this show for me please, thanks:

I think Samson Variation is actually the Trey song, At the Barbeque. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Twist -> Jesus is off the chain.
