The show was stopped by Lt. Fulton Moore of the Niles Police Department,
stating that the show was disturbing the peace, that the Niles Police had
received numerous complaints, and if the show was not shut down, arrests
would be made. No attempt was made on the part of Lt. Moore to discuss
the legal decibel level allowed by Niles law, although Umphrey's McGee sound
crew had a decibel reader and kept the PA at a legal level.

Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

a little about this show...
a number of songs (five i think, out of a poll of ten on the bort) were slated to be formally retired this night, hence the R.I.P. moniker. unfortunately due to the police involvment only bob got its final airing. a second sorta R.I.P. show followed in kalamzoo on 11/1 but this one was special it being in jake's hometown in the public park in the center of town. its too bad it turned out that way. but what was played is definitely worth hearing, especially this final version of bob. the song goes back to their first show ever as a band but over time bayless ended up detesting it, much like many bands end up disliking some of their earliest material. its funny to hear him proclaim "DEAD!" right as the song finishes up before nothing too fancy starts up. i think the band knew by then that something was up as it started right off and they got into it fast hoping to have it just be played out and the cops leave well enough alone. but oh well.
soundwise you get what you expect from large diaphragms recorded fob outside in a field :D |
