Opened for Allman Brothers Band. Mofro was also on the bill. They rule. $10 is too much to charge anyone for a 24 ounce can of Highlife
unless it's also gonna drive you home.

Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

Damn....Nissan Pavilion doesn't even charge that much for beer. Paid $8.00 for a 24oz at Ratdog there last week.

Thanks for this.

you can say the same thing about the Charlotte venue.
$6-8 for draft! $8-10 for canned

I live in the NW & I have paid upwards of six bucks for a 12 oz cup of beer at many festivals, but at least it was micro brew. Ten bucks? That vendor needs to be cited for potentially inciting a riot & then repeatedly dunked in a tank of the cheap swill they were selling.

I baught beers for my block and I. I set mine under my seat
my buddy slammed his. At this point I checked my stand and
gear. So I notice this young lady trying to get by, I step back. The gent that I am. BLAMMO beer is goin down hill!
I didn't get so much as a swig.
I turn around and blocker boy grabs my mic stand to hoist
him self up from his seat. GEEESSS !

I got'ta get a drink!

THANKS FOR POSTING !
By the way did you get Mofro?

Ten bucks for a Miller Highlife? The apocalypse is upon us.
RDunn 2007-08-21 15:26:13
In Raleigh it was $10 for a Sierra Nevada draft or $10 for a Foster's oil can.... which is still stupid money for beer. And to make matters worse, they charged $4 for a bottle of water. I understand selling things to make a buck, but for those prices it better come with a pair of lips :^)

Another thing I've noticed recently is the venues are now the ticket scalpers. I got an e-mail last week from Live Nation that "special" tickets were now available for the upcoming Dave Matthews Band show at Walnut Creek.... at a price of $250 per ticket (for tickets that are probably $70 face). No wonder it has become harder and harder to get the good seats. Between the fanclub presales and regular onsales and now the seats being held back to sell later. What a friggin' racket. No wonder ticket sales are down. To take a date or a family to a concert costs some serious coin. Fans definitely have to be more selective about what shows they can afford to see.

...and Mofro does rule. The set in Raleigh was great and it was my first time seeing them with horns. JJ also sat in with the ABB on Smokestack Lightning. I recorded that set and will try and seed it here tomorrow.

Clear Channel messed up radio for both the listeners and the people that worked in the industry and they are doing the same thing to the live music industry. $10 can beer is just nothing but greedy. I saw that same beer on sale at 7-11 down by the ocean front a few days later for $1.59 and you know 7-11 is making money on it. I think those type of venues are on the way out for most bands. Lets hope because they are all the same. The industry is suffering becasue they are greedy. Even the merch prices are over inflated at those venues.
I was gonna BT Patterson sitting in with the ABB but then I remembered that wasn't cool.
