I followed a limo after this show to a hotel on the plaza after the show. Took note of the name and then went back to my hotel. (was living in one as I had just moved to KC, thankfully only lived in KC a year before moving to colorado)
Got back to my room and called the hotel, "Mr. Garcia's room" I told the operator. Guess who answers? You bet, Jerry himself. I told him how much I enjoyed the show, that it was approximately my 50th, and that he was my hero. He just conversed with me as if I was someone he knew. Most gracious. Will never forget that night as long as I live. |
