This version is an improved one over the seeded version. I spliced
in the missing 13 secondsof El Paso, from the circulating AUD seed.
In doing so I had to clip off a bit of dead space at the end of
Birdsong.

Important news from bt.etree.org!

include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those

great show often overlooked because of 8-3 and 8-10.
august 82 was a great run by the boys.as with most sbd's
from 82 phil is a little low in the mix.a simple eq of the bass
and your good to go.this scarlet>fire has a dream type
qaulity to it.also a fine lazy lightning>supplication.the whole
show is sweet.some minor dropouts but overall a great
sounding show.someone also asked about 8-7-82.8-7 is
a dick's pick so i won't be uploading that.enjoy the show
from a great august run by the boys. |

Ooh... I recall a St. Paulie that I fell in love with... hope this is it! I love the Minnesota vibe... (not far from Alpine Valley as the jet flies...). I think they gave a little extra at some of these "one stop a year or less" locales. Makes for a nice piece of history. Perhaps it was the Lost Sailor > Saint > Jam that I was really diggin'. I *do* have a few of those that I've really enjoyed and that have left a mark on my psyche... Too bad they more or less retired that combo fairly early. I'd much rather have heard that every 2nd or 3rd show than a Big River > Mexicali or a Mama Tried > Me & My Uncle or any of the various combos of those (always liked Cumberland better as a stand alone, also...). It's almost like Bob was taking a working vacation (a rest...) when he busted out MAMU. Another favorite episode is that Stanford '81 AUD where someone yells "Get creative, Bob!". So...
Yep, Me & My Uncle. O-K. Thanks, man. MAMU the number one played song ever... I'm underwhelmed. I enjoy the cowboy tunes a lot, really, but not Me & My Uncle every other show... he should have substituted at least a couple others, Devil Woman, even. North to Alaska, anything! Ever heard of Johnny Cash, Bob? ; ) |
