Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

Hey,Joe! Fast turn around! Nice meeting you last night. Great show and a great crowd. I got a busy weekend coming up.Ill email you sometime next week about some other uncirculated LOH shows. Looking forward to hearing your source for this show. I missed about thirty seconds at the beginning on my source due to some late arrivers tromping into my section. Thanks for the seed!
jimvanhouten 2007-10-05 22:33:00
I beg of anyone who taped Robert Hunter at the LOH in '03 to please circulate that!!!!!!!!! I promise to wash your car once a week!!!
jbouchard 2007-10-05 23:51:53
Enjoy folks! Big thanks to Albix for help with the tracking!

This tape has what I will call a "taper friendly audience". It's cool to yell and scream between songs, or at the end of a jam, etc... that's what concerts are for. And then when the sweet part of the music is playing they listen politely, so that everyone at the show can hear (including my mics). This is what helps us make great tapes to share.
Thank you for your cooperation!

waterman 2007-10-06 09:33:29
LOH for the most part is very taper friendly both staff and audience and so some very fine tapes have been made there. The antithesis of this show was a show I taped front row center at the Flynn Theater in Burlington,VT in 2003 or so.Old @ In The Gray showed up and it was a sold out show. The place is 1000 seats or so.The show starts and theres 300 ticketless people outside. So, the only logical thing to do was to let them all in! What could have been a good recording turned into a nightmare of bored college kids and assorted drunks braying into my mikes during tunes like Poncho@Lefty and Land of the Navaho. So, yes to have a place as accomodating as the Opera house and its audiences in general is a blessing indeed. Thanks to the patrons of this show and the others in the past for helping us capture the moment so others who couldnt be there can share in the music with high quality recordings such as this one.

Thanks! Superb sound on this one. Gotta love those Nak300's!

WATERMAN!!
I couldn't agree with you more about the Lebanon Opera House, having covered the place for a number of years, for a daily newspaper that shall remain nameless :-)

I couldn't help but be intrigued by your reference to uncirculated recordings.
Hopefully I have material that could interest you in parting with certain shows....?
Sorry I missed this one.
