Important news from bt.etree.org!

Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.

If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.

Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.

This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.

For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.

Thanks, and happy downloading.

what i can't believe is that i've had this show for over a year and didn't given it a listen until recently; and let me say, i was fairly impressed, the whole show, but in particular the 2nd set, is just a stellar performance; absolutely lovely, just lovely; verified .md5 w/etree; enjoy

I've never heard a version of this that didn't include a cut either in Other One, Eyes, or both. If this version is indeed flawless, let me know. Spectacular show!

don't miss this.

This show kills from beginning to nearly the end with a few vocal flubs in Terrapin. What could be finer than the fellas trippin their asses off and rippin the red out of the rocks on a hot summer day? I wonder if this version is the one with the numerous tape pauses between first set songs? Nevertheless, this show is one for the ages both in performance and sound quality. Its too bad the night before didnt fare as well, suffering from a fake stereo mix. This show is worth the download if only to hear who I assume to be Weir shushing the audience during the mellow spot in Wharf Rat. Right On! Thanks for sharing with us.

God how amazing it would have been to see the boys at Red Rocks.
Lilypad 2007-10-10 10:18:13
The crazy thing is, they were back at the end of the summer for more Red Rocks shows

I have decided 78 is the missing link between humanity and the Great Spirit. Most underrated year ever. The set lists repel (same thing every night, at first glance) but Jerry Jerry Jerry!
funkbeard 2007-10-10 16:00:15
I always assumed that was Jerry shushing the crowd in Wharf Rat.
funkbeard 2007-10-10 16:05:46
looks like you can add samson>ship onto disc 1, put the entire 2nd set jam on disc 2, and the encores on disc 3. I hate to break up a good jam.

"i'm going to australia"
unbrchn 2007-10-10 16:20:39
I don't think Jerry ever "Shushed" anyone!
On the other hand, I've never heard Jerry's vocals as aggressive as on this show. What a treat!

Great show--thanks for posting.

I've always enjoyed this show on cassette & am just a tad disappointed with this version in the digital domain. I think it lacks Phil's presence & intensity compared to my cassette copy. Also, the entire encore section of this version is just the left channel copied over the right--Keith & one of the drummers are entirely gone!!!!

I checked up on this version on db.etree & here's what I found as one of the comments:

"A couple of listening notes picked up from etree mailing list:
Listener Jason Palmer noted that there may be NR applied to this version, possibly in an attempt
to fix an inherent "weird" sound.
Listener Gary Hodges compared this version to his previous analog copy, particularly Bertha, noting, "What happened to the BOMBS!?! The notes are still there, but there is no intensity.""

I agree. I feel that this show is begging for a fresh transfer from a superior source--Charlie Miller are you listening & can you help us out????

BTW--this is no slight on the seeder as this seems to be the only version currently available. I feel that a sweet spot fob recording would actually be an improvement over this--a real shame to miss Phil's touch.

"I don't think Jerry ever "Shushed" anyone!"

Well someone definitely sends out an abrupt and (perhaps) scathing "Shh!" during the Bridge ("but I'll get back...if he says I may"). Maybe it was Donna?

Killer, killer, killer show!!!
