if anyone that was at this show or knows what happened at this
show then you know why there is no encore . for all the other
people that don't know what happened some asshole threw a bottle
at the stage during johnny b goode and hit billy in the head and
almost knocked him out and after the bottle hit his head it hit the
drum set and broke something on the drum set . the band split off
stage and bob came out and said that the drums were broken and
we will see you tomorrow and that was that . the guys friend gave
him up to the dead and they pressed charges on him and the band
gave the guy who gave him up some free tickets and i think
backstage passes to a few shows ..........

| sorry for the slow down i have been recording live shows that i was going to and just got everything back in order. so i will knock out a few shows this week inbetween the ratdog shows and the phil shows here in new york . i took vaction from work so i should be able to knock out a bunch of shows .enjoy joe |

| Thanks Joe... let me clarify the story. I was in the 5th row and saw it all. The bottle came sailing down from behind the stage during Comes a Time. It hit the drum and bounced into Billy's right hand or wrist. He looked like it hurt and he was pissed. He left the stage for a while and they did part of Truckin with just Mickey. He came back for JB Goode, but faced the back of the stage and gave the crowd the double-bird... |

Excellent jam during Stranger, this show was shaping up to be a winner. in between sets I was behind the stage and I could see phil had this little space with a chair and table and just before the lights went down he was working on a huge spliff.. and the stranger after that was killer...
Then the whole bottle through the dums happened and cut the set short./
Stupid drunk...
all in all good music this night... |

No hard hat that I recall, but after the bottle came down, Billy did leave the stage, when he came back he showed the ripped drum head to a roadie then he turned and looked back up to where the bottle rained down from and gave the double bird and pumped his hands up.. It's was awful, stupid dumb-ass drunkeness nearly serioulsy injuring Billy and ruining the smoking vibe that was happening that night..
The next night there were flyers going around with the guys name and picture and the flyer was saying to never sell him another ticket and never let him in to another show...
GO RED SOX!! one more game tonight could clinch!! |
