|Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading.
|Thanks. Anxious to hear this. My set II came out nicely. I'll be in contact with the woman up front who got the whole show and share that eventually if it's good.
|great - thanks, temp0. Looking forward to hearing what we missed and how the other recordings came out. I thought it was a great show & am pretty happy with how this one sounds, considering the problems getting set up.
|for the other downloaders - who weren't there - much (most?) of the 1st set is missing on this one. Besides getting there a little late, this was my 1st time recording with this rig, so there was a fair amount of fumbling around and getting everything in place.
The first track fades in and there's only a minute or so there. During the instrumental 'Amazing Grace' you can hear the mikes being adjusted for a few seconds. After that it's smooth sailing.
2nd set fits on an 80-minute disc. Fades at start & end of sets. Between-song banter and dead air is tracked separately as "b" tracks. (on CD Architect or other software that gives full control over track indexes, you can leave all the audio data in there but remove the indexes)
|Yeah, for the rest of you who weren't there... the kids yelling loud enough to come through the stage mics... those were mine lol
|temp0, whooda thunkit.
I think the kids - along with the small but enthusiastic crowd's hootin and hollerin - add some "authenticity" to the recording :) There's one point you can hear someone running left to right (or is it r>l) on the wood floor there @ Skipper's. There's a distant siren in another spot.
It was a very laid-back show and a great way to spend a Sunday early evening.
Anyone know the missing song titles?
And Josh Pinkham *was* there for the whole show, right? I can't recall him ever leaving the stage - correct me if I'm wrong.
|the encore is a bela or bush or flux or all of the above tune (i think) called lawnmower early on an whitewater later on, i labelled it as whitewater on mine
|I was so disappointed that I missed this show, but considering the situation of losing a loved one it all is part of the greater scheme of things. I LOVE this band and am so gr8ful that you guys taped the festivities. My ears and heart are looking forward to sitting down with this show and absorbing all that it is, children and all. I know my children are also on quite a few audience recordings from the legendary SkipperDome...
Thanks Tim and Tempo!!! anyone take any pictures?
