Important news from bt.etree.org!
Begining on March 17 2006, all torrents seeded at bt.etree must
include 1) checksum files (.md5, .ffp) that include a checksum for
every lossless audio file in the fileset, and 2) a copy of those
checksums pasted into the torrent description, so everyone can see
them without downloading the fileset.
If you seed a torrent without this information, it will be deleted.
We're telling you this now, so you'll know.
Of course, if there is a problem, we'll try to contact you and help
to fix it. If you don't have a valid e-mail address on your
db.etree.org account, please take a moment to add one. If we can't
contact you, we can't help you, and it be very frustrating for
everyone. Seeders who don't have valid e-mail addresses may find
their logins disabled.
This message will appear on all torrents seeded to bt.etree until
everyone has gotten the message. If your torrent has checksum files
and lists them in the description, thank you! If not, please take a
moment to edit the torrent description to include them. If you have
to add the checksum files from scratch, you'll have to pull this
torrent and start over. Sorry about that.
For help generating checksums, please visit
http://wiki.etree.org or
http://forums.etree.org/viewtopic.php?t=7025. If you have specific
questions, please post them at http://forums.etree.org and someone
will help you ASAP. Please do NOT e-mail us directly.
Thanks, and happy downloading. |

| Here you go! Enjoy, this source is killer. I had problems with the SHN filesets I created, so I redid in FLAC. I have the rest of the run coming! This is one of the most underrated of the run. |

Why encode new filesets as SHN? SHN is no longer
being supported by it's creator. FLAC allows much
greater flexability of input files and since the source
code is free, there will always be ports to the newest
operating systems. SHN files are obsolete as soon as
you make them.
Thanks for this and thanks for using FLAC.

| A new source is always welcome. Thx Papaleo. Don't give a damn if it's shn or flac |

Yeah, when I run into an operating system that actually can't deal with shn's, then I'll be worried :)
Thanks for the work, Papa Leo.
This one appears to be 88515. |

When I burned these to wav I got weird results with the 2nd set - snippets of Ripple appear in China Cat, then the missing snippets of China Cat appear in Ripple. It did not add "tracks" where this happened. I will try reburning and/or re-downloading, but first wanted to check if anyone else had the same thing happen. I downloaded the other B&K sources for 10/31 & 11/2 with no problems like this. Or did I cause this somehow? Oh and THANKS for these GRATE sounding sources - been waiting for them to appear!

| Hmmm...strange. It sounds as they the problem occured within the torrent. It sounds as though pieces were dropped into the wrong files. That being said, this is the first instance I have heard of this. My only advice to you is to try again. |
